Like a bitch out of order, like a bat out of hell, like a fish out of water, I'm back can't you tell! BANG BANG!

Sorry I've been a way without internet/return to the world of university and flooded with various things to do, but I am back to terrorise you all!

I loooooove this Girl Gone Wild image.

It's so bright, abrasive, colourful, timeless, disco and outrageously sexy! M in her prime. 30 years strong! Here's to the next 30.

Seriously, so many of today's acts...who out of them will people recall in 30 years time? M has that timeless effect down to a T! Long live the Queen!

OMFGS!!!

She was going to shoot a really controversal video for I Don't Give A dressed in muslim head gear but has changed her mind. Now it looks like Superstar will be the next single. I am a bit surprised as I never expected another release from MDNA. Again its one of the weaker tracks though. Unless its Madonna launching Lola's solo career to the world then i don't understand why she has chosen that song over Love Spent.....

Again, what the F**K!! The controversial I Don't Give A video would have been sh*t hot! I love I Don't Give A, such an anthemic number when your having a crap time of it and need to get back on your feet after whatever's got you down. Superstar...I don't hate the song, but it's far from the best on MDNA.

The story about the Muslim headdress sounds completely made up. The Sun has a history of making up all kinds of crazy stories about Madonna that turn out to not be true. I don't think a Muslim headdress goes at all with the lyrics of I don't Give A. I think I don't Give A would be a bad choice for a single. I like it, but as HC showed, a lot of Madonna fans tend to not like songs with rapping in them or a strong hip hop influence.
I think they are choosing Superstar because it's being used as as a theme on a US network and apparently has had a good response.

a bit like Miles Away in the Asian market....it was the biggest selling single in Japan in 2008 because of its use in the Japanese soap Changes 4 Minutes and give It 2 Me were big there but Miles Away was the biggest success there.

Superstar i think will have a good US reception if they do it well and round it off quick....but seems a bit late for a release doesnt it? i mean for the 4th week in a roaw it is still on the Billboard Hot 200 albums chart so i dont think a single release will do too much.

I Dont give A is one of the finest on MDNA however, love her acid punchy rap style...love when she does it...very vapid and love the way she does it live too

I actually like I Don't Give A much better live than on the record. On tour, she plays guitar on it so it has a more rock feeling than on the record.

I think im gonne be controversial and say MDNA songs sound more alive when she plays them live! Bar a few...i mean they are solid on record but live there is a new elase of life injected unto them

Wild sounds better, gang bang is a piece of theatre art, as is Im Addicted...Im A Sinner is very trippy, adore I Dont give A live, Luvin is only good when live with a band and cheerleaders the mash up of Beautiful Killer and Die Another Day was KILLAH!! and Love Spent sounds beautiful sung like that on tour...so powerful!

Nicki Minaj is my problem with I Don't Give A...I confess it's been a few months since I've listened to MDNA

i know hehe!

it suits a retro mood and a proper euphoric mood i find! Always a booster when you want all out retro uptempo gotta love it baby!

And Nicki is my only snag....would have loved if Azealia Banks were on there instead tbh! personal preferences aside but it would have added more gusto. But hey

I don't think it's a good idea either due to Nicki Minaj. She's been on the headlines in the US for all the wrong reasons of late. First the Mitt Romney debacle and now the feud with Mariah.

I think Superstar is very "US radio friendly" but it all depends on the promotion.

I think she totally missed the boat by not releasing "I'm Addicted". It's one of the best on the album.

Anyone agree?

Superstar should IMO just be released Stateside, it is being used in the Bravo ads over there in wide circulation and will help her sustain and increase Stateside commercial appeal longer too. But WW....with no promo there aint no point.

Im Addicted is perfect for three reasons.

1) Its a fantastic ode to how she cranks up the underground sounds and ranks it up into the mainstream

2) the album title is also the end breakdown hook, so massive album promo song alone there

3) its up there with her best songs i feel, it garnered the most acclaim of all her songs on MDNA bar none and many have stated that if it were released they will playlist it and A-list it yeh baby!

But alas...the single choices were backward this era...backward.....save it for next time.

Speaking of which Ellie fans....and reinforcing why Madonna should hook up with Monsieur Adi album 13....check out his own vid and remix of Starry Eyed.

THIS is where to head and push and intensify with a cool ass era

played Ray Of Light for the first time since the summer in full....and it occured to me only Madonna can sing about cold isolation, tripping, flying, self sacrifice, death/zombies, identity and love (self love, family love, mutual respect love) across 13 songs on one album

Plus ROL feels so brilliant when playing it in my room next to the bathroom and hearing it as the water consumes your body....like feeling of being in this Drowned World/Apocalyptic universe

Also played Bowie 1.Outside album today (it arrived when i came in from work yay!) and that has similar themes in a way too (released in 1995) with the idea of near millenium/loss and hysteria of Y2K etc....that feel of the 90s encapsulated epic!

Recommend to you to listen on YT

Oh Superstar...a song that I really didn't click with on my initial plays. Then in hindsight it struck me as a perfect summer song, I definitely think it should be restricted to certain territories e.g. USA. I do not see it charting in the UK highly.

I'm Addicted is perfection which is why I'm gonna come out and say that I DON'T WANT it released. If it ever got the single treatment, the way this era's been handled, the promotion, the chart positions, the acclaim, the video - they won't be what they could be, the potential won't be lived up to and it will be another "Could have/should have/would have done this, that and the other" thing. I don't want my favourite MDNA songs ruined by a poorly promoted era with mediocre/average videos. I want them to be justified with promo and fantastic time and effort and really play on the themes, MDNA, song themes - I'm Addicted - go ballsy, go trippy, bursts of colour...I don't see it happening so I'm gonna have to say I don't want it as a single sadly!

If the promo for this era was fine and everything was firing on all cylinders I definitely feel I'm Addicted would be a mega-smash in Europe, in the US it would hit the top 30s at first and climb further with more promo similar to how other club/dance-pop smashes have worked over there (I seem to remember Rihanna's We Found Love climbed through the ranks before grabbing that peak?).

If Superstar is getting the single treatment, will we get a video? Will M have time between the final tour dates?

I like the earlier posts people have made about celebrating with more 30 Year anniversary remixes/fan art competitions.

I'M pleased theres gonna be a fourth single. I love Superstar as an album track but i do believe there are better tracks on the album to be the fourth single. Imo Gang Bang, I'M Addicted or even Beautiful Killer. If i had to choose then i would go with I'M Addcited imagine a sleek super video and some good remixes or even guest vocals like a remix would be amazing

Madonna has filmed a special episode of Ellen today (im presuming on a set behind the scenes of the tour...and to promote Superstar?? and MDNA/year reflection and where she is heading next i think).

Anyways i think Madonna got a memo....Album Promotion needs to be done....but i do think its been very Stateside focused in terms of material releases than usual...but she has that now...so with an episode of Ellen taped and put on circulation Superstar could be another hit Stateside for sure .

Anyways i am excited for another Madonna TV event....third this year though (Norton, Superbowl, Ellen) i suppose if you were gonne do three it would be them, but maaan how this era has been handeled.

Anyways we will see and hear where M is headed next just excited to have read that today
