Replayed SHM's Don't You Worry Child for the billionth time today (ADORE this song, lyrically, vocally, production...everything!) and could really imagine Madonna's voice working brilliantly on that song. Perhaps one day M could collaborate with individual DJ's that form the SHM (obviously she can't have all three since they're disbanding/going on hiatus). Not necessarily for the next project but out there. I mean if Cher at 66 is still dancing her ass off, M can't rule it out in the future

And totally i dig Cher...i mean the thing about Cher is that with her Womans World song it very much is "Cher" its very camp, its dancey, its innocent and has her signature voice...thats what she is known for so it kinda lessens the "oh its only a nice dance song" punch than say Madonna...but i totally see what you mean...if Madonna mixed it up in the future with that kinda sound again it would be interesting definitely....we will see.

Yes, I just keep thinking back to Confessions and Hung Up. That tune was EVERYWHERE. It was even playlisted on Kiss! We need a song that powerful (it was the Abba snippet that did it really) which is instantly recognisable in the same way Hung Up was. That and tonnes of promotion, with Madge getting literally everywhere. That should just about sort things out here in the UK.

I do think sampling is of the essence...i mean Hung Up is an explosion of an anthem...its not generic it has a message, euphoric vocal, explosion of SynthHouse and a Disco ABBA Sample to boot as a hook reworked and an ode to Like A Prayer with Lvoe Spent too.

and yes Parkinson, Children In Need, Nightclubs, Radio interviews...WInter 2005 was EPIC in all forms! ....oh and then of course a few months later with Sorry YEAH!!!

I feel that she needs killer songs released...she had a few on MDNA that she can enhance on for the next album...but tis true she doesnt need to do "Rihanna, gaga, Katy Perry" style promo...but COnfessions Era style or American Life style promo will guarantee all attention

I'm totally down for Confessions/American Life-style promo. We definitely don't wanna oversaturate (?) Madonna and it's like she said, she's a mother first so a Katy Perry-style promo trail would make it exhausting to fulfil both duties as a mother and the Queen of Pop!

Hung Up...such a talking point. I could be sat here for hours discussing the song. It really is a futuristic refreshing disco anthem even now...the ABBA sampling was ingenius. My favourite part is where Stuart Price cuts loose and we have the "slow" sequence where the beat builds back up again the "time goes by so slowly" bit before M eventually returns to the chorus. I love it cause the choreo on the electro version forces M to go HARD with that dancing. Live Earth flashbacks...she brought the house down without breaking a sweat. Even now rewatching that gig still puts me in a fabulous mood!

Madonna has done an interview with a Mexican magazine in preparation for her show there and she said she already has some tracks laid down for her next album and has more plans for a film project. Hopefully, she will space them out so that the film isn't released at roughly the same time as the album because she needs to promote the hell out of the next record. I think a lot of casuals will be put of going her shows by the late start times by the time the next tour comes around but a killer lead single and killer album might persuade them to shell out for tickets

If the song is good enough and she promotes on key TV shows then it will be heard and she has it in her to get another number one because she has a huge fan base, she doesn't necessarily need radio. Guy O has done her no favours this time though, he needs to see that the album, tour, films are spaced out and she puts the effort in to promote. He also needs to insist that she gets her ass on stage at a reasonable time because she didn't hit the stage in Miami until 11:30pm and lots had left by then and demanded refunds and it put the crowd in a bad mood and unfortunately she filmed the DVD there so there were a lot of empty seats and a very flat crowd

I really think Madonna should work on her new album for a while, sitting in a studio writing and not just getting scraps from other writers. You can tell the stuff she didn't have much input in because they are naff. She needs to promote the hell out of the new album too and not go on tour till the year after. she needs some new brilliant songs and hits and don't get me started on the stupid single realeses for the MDNA album, all the best songs were sidelined WTF.

Madonna ahs been heavily inspired by her MDNA tour and travelling and has material penned for her next project....absolutely fantastic and what i thought...MDNA is a great launch pad for some real intense stuff for album 13 i feel.

The Superbowl, name alone promo, tour, film, endorsements....Madonna is out there but not in the "usual sense" and next album will see a change around i reckon.....

And YES i am 110% behind her spacing out recording, side projects etc....the film (or film project as she puts it) i reckon should precede it again but a few months in advance of the new era starting officially....2013 sounds like an exciting year of new material happening and I cannot wait

Exactly....well for starters i love how she is penning ideas for a new album, which means its 110% MADONNA pre-Hard Candy/MDNA lyrically rather than Timbaland/Lake/Pharell/Neptunes/Solveig/Bennassi/Baptiste etc.....Madonnas best work is her solely...i mean Beautiful Killer she wrote inspired by French Cinema with Solveig and that was a later recording so you can only imagine what she may have finalsied if she was given more time with MDNA as an album...but alas.

I reckon it will be something that mixes and meshes ideas...we will see, but time is key....i mean Like A Prayer, Erotica, Ray Of Light, American Life....they are masterpeice albums that took months to record....COADF gathered ideas over the years too and were finally executed too for example so again that took time....But she can also create fantastic bodies of work in shrot time periods, True Blue, Like A Virgin, Music are also sublime and recorded baically over a few weeks.

So its all down to time and execution. But i do feel now M will allow herself time to delve into an era, new reinvention and really make something MADONNA rather than....yeah great but....stories.

Totally, plus with the current Popstars of today..they NEED to promote every singe thing...if they released anything they would have to be in every country promoting it so that they are known lol.

Whereas with MADONNA...i dont know anyone that doesnt know her in the world you know? she doesnt "need" that kinda promo trail...but she does need to market her new material in several ways....a handful of performances here, a plethora of interviews there, radio promo, TV promo, Video promo, Magazine promo, ads on regulation...its how you divide from the massive sellers and the lukewarm receptions....now of course album quality doesnt equate sales....but with Madonna it does and its an all rounder so for her to achieve a massive album and era with album 13 i reckon they have sussed out what with the ratings she pulls in...Madonna can ensure televised promo much more regularly.

And agreed release the big songs of the album...but also keep a few on the disc too like she is known for...not releasing the safest material :sleep:

Right its Friday...a very tough week....Like A Virgin album on BLAST!!! Madonna and Nile cranked up is a magic total magic! You can feel NYC 1984 oozing through the Synths, Funk, Soul of the album! Epic and timeless.

Shoo Bee Doo is such a beautiful song the SAAAAX!!! and her voice....so rich and pure! Ah wow.

Man i am so stoked she is already planning album 13....you can tell that perhaps she wasnt happy with the way MDNA had been handeled as an album and the way it ws kinda just "put out there"....i mean it was a test an experiment but hey Im so stoked to hear just where she will focus new material i mean look at where she can influence ideas from...

- Politics (Pussy Riot, Obama/Romney ELection, Russian Politics....)
- Media (Ageism, False agendas, false rivalries, Dark Knight RIses Shootings)
- Personal life (Lourdes moving on, her goals and reflection on 30 years)

And of course the idea of her shaping a new reinvention, a new image/direction to branch out with and really make people go WOAH...this is MADONNA!

Apparently it was freezing in Mexico City so she wore extra layers. Latin America adores Madonna though. She has sold 100,000 for Rio alone and current acts like Gaga don't compare to Madonna in Latin America

Apparently, Certain Gag fans are saying Madonna's Miami shows weren't sold out.

She definitely sold out, but arrived onstage around 11:30, so if the show finished around 01:20 that would have scuppered peoples plans afterwards - hence the few empty seats.

I mean, how delusional can they be?
