I would feel bad for the OZ fans if she does a second leg and still won't go there.

A plus for me is that if she did do the o2 I could get the train with my friend and we could stay the night (probably preferable to driving down there) as I'm only in Norwich so not too far from London at all!

I'm hoping there will be a DVD release this tour too (well, BR actually, everything is better in HD ) as I know some previous tours never had this. I'd be very upset if it's the first concert I've ever seen and there's no DVD for it, lol. Also wishing she would release The Confessions Tour on BR, it's absolutely my favourite tour and I'd give anything to have it in HD.”

Birmingham didn't sell out until about a week before and with all the casuals having pretty much seen the show already then I reckon we could get tickets easily, especially if she does maybe Manchester or Birmingham as well

Exactly why I don't want her to do a second leg. I think its way too harsh on the Aussies.

I would much rather she focused on getting her creativity back and create another epic album.

It's harsh on them because they said they'd go and sort of dangled a carrot then they announced it was a no go. If its cancelled then it'll probably be for financial reasons. She was due to go in Jan/Feb and they probably thought it was more cost effective to do Europe/America again in the spring/summer.

What exactly "happened" to Prince?

The dude played the Superbowl in 2007, followed by a 21 night residency at the O2 the same year. He's done over 50 shows in the past 2 years in 20,000 seater arenas, plus another 21 night residency in LA, and has just done sell-out shows in Australia this year.

He may not be in the headlines, but dude is working his ass off still. Madonna herself said that he was the one person she would love to go on tour with when she was promoting Hard Candy, so let's not turn this into a "Prince is crap, Madonna rooooolz" thing.

Is there no chance she may decide to visit Australia with a second leg? It would be a mighty shame for them to miss out on this tour. Were there not dates on the SAS second leg in countries she had not visited first time round?

Hopefully the next album won't be too far away; I'm really hoping for another COADF, such a great album that I can just listen to on repeat all day long.

They had the chance to go to OZ for Confessions and S&S and it always fall through, it mustnt make financial sense for them to do it and they'd profit more from milking Europe and America

I think what was said about Prince was tongue in cheek, certainly on my part. As I said earlier I love his 80's stuff and he's a genius.

Pity, Madonna does seem to care about the fans, would be nice if she could treat those in Australia. I would guess it's the label pulling all the strings behind the scenes with this decision then? Because lets be honest, with the money Madonna has made from this tour, saying that it's not financially viable to go to Australia is a pretty poor argument from her behalf. I'm sure the shows would at least break even over there, especially after such a long gap since she last visited them.

^lol, I know.

But, it's better I post that stuff above than Unique copy & pastes a whole load of Prince stats for you

She signed that mammoth contract with LiveNation a few years ago and I imagine they dictate where she goes a lot of the time. Also, she's 53 and with a young family so she probably doesn't want to spend too long on the road. I know she did the second leg of S&S just in Europe last time as its the most profitable market so they will probably do the same next time

Please don't let him invade our thread! We don't need any trolls in here, lol.

It was definitely tongue in cheek. I actually went to see him at Koko! Some people are just touchy. What can I do.

Definately, I can remember his O2 residency but I dont really follow what he's up to. Like I said, if I went to one of his gigs I'd be one of those annoying casuals wanting him to sing Little Red Corvette when in fact he has new stuff to promote

I wonder how much she actually makes from the UK? Mind, I imagine she will always come here as she seems to have a love and respect for Britain.

EDIT:

Not even gonna bother looking as I know the stupid comments from the warped Gaga fans will just make me angry. (I'm not saying all the Gaga fans are warped, but I imagine most of those posting on that article will be)

Lol, these monsters get their knickers in a twist so easily. Imagine the day she announces she's pregnant, there will be mass mourning on North Korean scale

Piip, I remember reading a website not long ago with stats on all her shows last tour and attendances and profits and London and Paris grossed the most. MJ wanted to do his residency in London too so I'd say it's the most profitable place and LN want as much money as they can

I just want this Little Monster/Queens Army fued to end.

I wouldn't mind Gaga making a surprise appearance at one of Madonna's gigs if it made these fans chill out a bit.

Wow that's quite amazing! I never expected London to be the highest! Hopefully LN will send her back next year then to do some dates at the o2. We can but hope! Just hope she doesn't only do Hyde Park again for either the next leg (if there is one) or the next tour. I can't stand for that long, it would kill me.

I don't think she'd be able to sell enough tickets as it'll be pretty much the same show. Last time she did Wembley stadium and then the O2 the year after

Hyde Park is only allowed to stage 9 concerts next year and they must be played between end of June and end of August. So that'll rule out a return to HP.

I think I read gigs at Hyde Park were being stopped all together from 2015 as well?

I think they should as it's a terrible venue and a real shame to see such a wonderful park turned into a mud bath. There's not a blade of grass there where the concerts are and it's a shame really as I love strolling around there
Piipp

Wow, this Hyde Park news is ridiculous. People shouldn't move to live near a venue like that when they KNOW there's going to be concerts if they don't want there to be concerts. Ridiculous. The Government cutting off it's nose to spite it's face to be honest; the revenue those gigs must bring into the surrounding area will no doubt be sorely missed; these concerts are a good boost for the local economy (albeit a very small boost, but a boost nonetheless).
