When I first played the song Like A Prayer my dad asked me who it was. He said he liked Madonna but when I told him it was Madonna singing he had a right go at me because he didn't believe me. To this day he remembers this argument, and to this day he says Like A Prayer is the most powerful song he has ever heard. Such was the epicness mate! Yes, those were the days. They were effing magic.
Yeah a real mighty song, really mighty album, really mighty statements and visuals....really everything all out in full scale! i mean talk about opening eyes and ears even wider....genius! absolute genius. Would love for M and leonard to hook up together again! Even if for a song or two...just would be something so massive i feel to really echo back across the trans-dimensional feel they have when they unite!

Yo know i think my dad had a similar discussion with my grandad when he said Like A Prayer was Madonna (this was the year before my dad and mum were wed) and he was in disbelief of my dad bless him hehe.

I do sometimes wonder why some of Madonna's newer stuff is not in the same league as Like A Prayer. It is hard to visualise the Madonna of today actually being responsible for one of the greatest pop songs in the world.....ever. I would so love her to hook up with Leonard again too. Look what happens when they work together. We get Like A Prayer and then the epic Frozen.
![]() And yeah i know...hard to believe the last time they teamed up for an album/era was Ray Of Light....but his score for her I Am Because We Are doc is so elemental i think it could work, he adapts to sounds...and the both together....its incredible by definition. i think basically that MDNA is a re-introduction, getting effortless great new music out and going on the road re-establishing herself within contemporary Pop/Music etc so next time i truly hope they focus on the album, music, direction, look, promotion, endorsements, physical aspects of the album and an overall i dea of where to take the era next off too. i mean we now know Madonna with minimal promo can garner a record setting world tour out of it regardless...imagine it with a heavily promoted and successful critical/commercial all rounded album again too....NEW RECORDS ![]() Again we will have to see where the next page takes us! |

I am new to this thread but just wanted to say that I was at both Hyde Park and Birmingham and thought both shows were utterly amazing.... In Hyde Park the atmosphere was out of this world, while the smaller arena really allowed you to enjoy the great show.
Just wondered what the other technical faults were?? I didn't even notice anything wrong in I'm addidted lol Have to say I thought both Madonna and her dancers coped with the lack of motel set superbly!!! |

Not sure if you guys know but a few days ago she announced an intimate gig at Paris Olympia which holds about 2700 people and it's rumoured to be something of an anti tour with rare hits being played at the MDNA stage wouldn't fit, should be an interesting gig indeed

Shiit I forgot how good sleep was.
I'm having a chill day today when I get back from popping out. I got a new poster at Madonna too and just realised I have no room on my Madonna wall. LOL. I'm going to have to move some stuff around. I kinda wish I had listened to my friend now and we entered the competition for golden triangle tickets. Send in a pic of you with your Brum tickets, they would've loved my Madonna wall ahaha. Oh well. |

The Paris gig should be epic i recieved an email of that i just read today! So it should be truly something else.
i reckon they should film it and release it on DVD this Winter perhaps....Madonna Live At The Odeon (an Intimate Performance) or something like that. Will be interesting....maybe it will be THEN we will hear mash ups etc...and if successful she may do a few more alongside the MDNA world tour shows....would be incredible! Again its all down to testing the waters! |

Gang Bang and I'm Addicted are my favourites.
Im Addicted i always think will make a massive single or would have made something massive if they promoted it but alas i dont see the point in Madonna releasing singles furthermore from the album unless they have a mini-campaign for them perhaps? Shame really. |

I really dont know about the idea of having gang bang released with a live video i mean the performance is so dark and gritty and very iconic! But i feel like it needs a mini-film or something like we discussed as a group.....hmmm.

Gang Bang ain't been released with a live video, I wouldn't trust the source you heard it from and until it's confirmed then assume it isn't happening
Okay that leaves potential still then
