Anyone else get a bit frustrated when they play Hard Candy knowing it could have reached far better potential?

I mean i love the album but i always think...damn Stu Price and PSB should have really fought their corner with M on the album....could have been a really dark, intense album sequel to COADF i feel....but alas its like a soft sequel at least (ironic given the title) and i love the allusions to her debut album too with the Sythpop retro pop styles and sounds across it...but damn its like AAAH wish she went all out with Project BLACK MADONNA!

One of the reasons that I LOVE Hard Candy is because the songs juxtapose carefree and caring. Like Heartbeat is at first a simple dance-y song but the lyrics really ring true about her life.

"If you could stand in my shoes, then would you feel my heartbeat too."

what i love about HC too is that it is a juxtaposition of tough and sweet....but i would have loved perhaps dark electronic DUB beats in there and Industrial Pop perhaps to really showcase that tough side....but the lightness really does symbolise her debut album i love that. And prince guitarist on Shes Not Me and Incredible really is powerful!

I really like the Hard Candy album but I feel some songs suit and some don't (or maybe it's too much of a mix is what I am trying to say). I love Beat Goes On and She's Not Me, was never keen on 4 Minutes though (but am glad it did well).

I wish the songs were more like the final instrumental finale of Miles Away.

YEAH totally....i mean Beat goes On kinda symbolises how perfect the album could be....that dark synth edge, retropop....but snappy lightness...would have been great if released tbh! But alas -_-. And yeah 4 Minutes is the longest a single had taken to grow on me....but it finally did tbh....wish give it 2 me was longer too....it feels like Bedtime Story, can continue to shape and grow as the song goes on and on and on

Miles Away really is powerful...again never reached its potential.

And Beat goes On i am so glad was altered for the album, cannot stand that demo that leaked a ew weeks before the album was out.

Stupid live videos.

I quite like the demo. "Always the bridesmaid, never the bride!"

I must be missing out because I wasn't aware of any leaked demos beforehand (would love to download them but I don't think we're allowed to post links etc on here).

I always felt like HC was split in half, i.e. pop (and typical Madonna tracks) such as Beat Goes On, She's Not Me, Give It 2 Me and Candy Shop Vs. Miles Away and pretty much the rest of the album.

I'd love an unreleased album (although I feel it would be a cop-out, unless she doesn't tour with it etc) but I have a feeling that we won't get an official release of it (or the missing tours) until Madonna passes over. In the far future.

If you YouTube tracks like "Triggering" or "Across the Sky" you'll find the unreleased. Or my favourite "Like a Flower".

For demos just search Madonna demos. Or Madonna unreleased.

I recently joined a forum called Madonna Infinity, I don't really have a huge intention to post but was interested in their media section. Maybe download wise I could find what I want there? (going to go and have a look now i think)

Try MadonnaNation forums, they have a good media section too (and that's where I post!). But I think you need like 250 posts to access the media section.

It's such a shame because I just went to download numerous things and the links are broken or the files have been deleted
