I agree that it does take guts to go against the norm
but my idea of it and yours are very different ,

It takes guts for a teen to go against their friends and not smoke drink ETC and still be in the crowd so to speak ,

But in a team situation then its not gutsy at all to do it
its selfish !! IMO

I cannot take to Sophie. She is the kind of person I really dislike. Someone who has no interest in others, only herself. I have no sympathy for her for her past. She chose to take drugs, she chose her lifestyle and then she expects praise from others for overcoming her addictions. Please
I don't like her much in case it isn't clear

There was an interesting piece in the Mail yesterday about her behaviour in the jungle and the fact that some of the British public can't see through her and chose Natalie for the trial when it should have been her. It said her performance in the bush telegraph was completely fake. one line had the bit where Sophie said "I have never been spoken to so nastily" or similar to which the Mail writer said "add deafness to your problems then" or similar Interesting read and one of which I had already concluded myself

yep, she's totally self-absorbed. I can't say I've warmed to her since the spat with Natalie. Don't like either of them TBH. So if either of them get booted out on Sunday, I can't say I'd miss them.

That was the first thing I said when I saw her 'overcome' her fear. It's all a performance and not a very convincing one to boot.

Going back to the original question - Cant we see what will happen here?

John Fashunu a man who said he had hangups - such as heights and snakes - so hated that he was chosen for each task - that he seemed to think was because they wanted to see him as hes popular
He suprisingly ended up in 2nd place.

Last year we had Kerry "ITV" McFadden and her - I hate all of this - she didnt seem to complete any task - the funniest being the one where her and Jordan were supposed to eat that eye at the ned - and Kerry didnt even attempt to do it on the count of 3 leaving poor Jordy to bite it alone.
Yet Kerry beat Jennie Bond who had done every task in a fantastic non moaning way.

Is it possible that Nat leaving the show will make it less interesting? and that our she will eventual win the GBP votes via the GB love for an underDog?

I hope Natalie wins the whole thing, just to see the look on Sophie's sour-face !

Is it possible? If she were a more positive character, it would make the show less interesting to see her leave, but unlike Kerry she is a complete miseryguts and doesn't have the vaguest conception of team spirit. That's fine in itself, but not when you're in a show like IAC. Nat said she was going in to prove things to herself and to her friends & family; well, she probably has confirmed the odd lurking suspicion about her character.

The fact that she's not interested in trying will stop the GBP from regarding her affectionately as an Underdog, the public likes plucky failures not tiresome, selfish stirrers like the Natster. She can't win

Probably the guy with the oxygen (again) . He's now stipulated that he doesn't want to be seen saving Madam's life as the whole nation will hold it against him.

I think she's walked. Haven't seen her return from the trial and Sophie was saying they now have a 1 in 9 chance of getting a trial.

I doubt very much she has walked. That's correct about the 1 in 9 chance of getting a trial. There are 10 celebs in there at the moment and one is getting booted tomorrow night, so one of the remaining 9 will do the trial.

"I agree that it does take guts to go against the norm"

Yes, well that's probably an idea that they'll use to promote Natalie with.

If they can sell the popular chocalate biscuit bar "Twix" with that line, they can sell Natalie.

But I think it will go either of two ways.

1) It's either that she's the underdog who will eventually overcome all the obstacles and fears, against the odds.
Or she hasn't got the intelligence to do that, and believes Kerry won for simply appearing weak.

2) Or she simply doesn't realise that Kerry's game worked due to a second stage. And Natalie will simply go for the sympathy vote from start to end. (Be interesting to see if the public falls for that, but personally I think that would be a big mistake on Natalie's part,...and she needs to be "seen" to become a hero near the end.

Either way, I believe that Natalie will last very far in the game.
There's no way on earth she will be one of the first 2 or 3 to go.
She has got the attention she has wanted,..so somebody will pick up their phone and support her for a few more days to come at least.

If I had the money, I would bet loads on her not being the first to go. I'd make a killing.

No she won't walk.

She'll make people think that,....and will let the producers attempt to talk her out of it, even though she will have no intention of going, and knows full well beforehand that she won't go but will want the viewers to see a "crisis situation" and knows that the camera's showing a "will she, won't she walk? situation" will give her even more airtime and more attention.

She will let them talk her out of it, despite knowing full well she has no plans to go anywhere anyway.
