I see that ratings a taking a little tumble this year. It's been pretty much across the board for US TV this season, however, - last year BB performed the best it had since 2004, and with all the Willie Hantz drama, they should have spiked this week. So, what's going wrong?

For me, the house is starting to look SO battered. The set hasn't changed for several years and BB is the only US TV show which doesn't screen in HD. Moreover, I'm really not feeling this mentor's twist. Grodbeast is playing the viewers for fools - again. Anyone with half a brain cell has already deduced that mentors will enter the actual game as fully fledged players at some point, there are simply too few housemates and too many weeks to go. Also, Willie Hantz was a good but lazy casting choice.

I know it's early days, but what can BB do to curb the drop?

Even with Willie-gate, Sunday night's show was up against the Bachelorette finale.

I think its too confusing personally there is so many different motivations. Should the houseguests trust their mentor? Should thy trust houseguests with conflicting mentors? Should they try get rid of their own team? Should they form deals with other mentors? Should the mentors trust each other? Does it benefit the mentors to lose all their players and have a chance of winning the$500,000 ? Should the mentors try and get rid of there weakest players? So may different levels of gameplay which dont fit to well into the 3 HL shows a week. However as ratings are concerned isnt BB still winning its timeslots? So is still very popular just overall TV ratings are down.

I was against her returning for a third time in a row - and I'm a big Rachel supporter - but in hindsight, she would have been a much better mentor than Britney, who feels a little out of her depth.

- That said, I guess it may have also been a little odd having 3 BB winners (Boogie, Dan, Rachel), and Janelle.

I agree with the above, it's all just too confusing, too many conflicting motivations going on etc. The sooner they cut out the silly mentor thing and make the vets fully fledged houseguests, the better. Imho, the Grodbeast, reknowned for her tamping, overplayed her hand this time by trying to keep the vets safe for a few weeks.
