I dont think Kev will be here as he has sent me his comments and Jordan and SD aren't online just yet, but as the show is pretty packed we are gonna have to make a start now and they can catch up.
So first up and hoping to make a big start to this series and set the standard is the lovely Sophie Habibis, showing us her vocal abilities singing Thriller http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECpJ5bFbGfo |

Sophie
That was a brilliant performance Sophie, I love Thriller and It's absolutely beggars belief that it didn't make number one so I knew I wanted to give you this song, the cover is a really fresh interpretation of the song and I absolutely love how you took it and made it your own, you deserve to be on this stage Sophie! |

Sophie Habibis
Sophie, it was a really good performance in my opinion! It very suited your vocals and your vocals were great! I would have loved if you gave it a bit more power, but a great first performance! I think you will go a long way in this competition! |

Some pretty good comments on night 1 for Sophie. Well done.
So up next hoping that they will get the same sort of reaction from our judges is Austin Drage singing Thousand Miles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=CO&h...&v=8gFTgLg3oJU |

Austin Drage
Austin, I thought the song choice was great, I thought it was energetic, and had a great rocky feel to it! I loved your vocals and I thought this song choice was a risk as it would not be something you'd associate yourself with! I do hope you go through! |

Austin
This was nice Austin, I do think that your vocals are a lot stronger and deeper than that particular artists' vocals but you did a nice version of that song, if I'm being honest I would have to say that I felt like the song was a little bit dull but it was more than enough to see you through to next week I would quite confidently say. |

Well done Austin. Kev thought the song was a bit dull but thinks that you will be here for the next show and hopefully you can come out and change his mind if you are still here.
So, next up we are going over to the Groups and we have an incredibly fun group up first. So everyone please welcome the amazing 2 Shoes to the stage singing Sweet Dreams my LA EX. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRERaiEVkwM |

2 Shoes
Girls, I quite liked the performance. I don't think your vocals shined as best as possible but it was still a good first performance. I think you still have a lot more to show through the process though. |

2 Shoes
Interesting pick from your mentor, I like Rachel Stevens as she's just a good dance-pop artist and she is the perfect artist for you girls, I thought it was a fun, cheesy performance and it's really what 2 Shoes are all about so I can't complain, I'm looking forward to seeing you girls progress further in the competition as you're really talented girls. Great performance! |

Some reasonably good comments from the judges tonight girls. Well done, and we will see how the viewers react to this performance.
So now we are heading over to hear from the first of the overs, Maria Lawson singing Radio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ERqQXI8NHc |

Maria
Very good performance from you, it wasn't necessarily the most vocally challenging song for you to sing but it was refreshing to see somebody performing a song that has a bit more life and vivacity to it than just doing a soul diva song so kudos to Jordan on that front and I certainly hope you stick around for a long time to come. |

Maria Lawson
Maria, I'm a bit 50/50 on this. I do think the song suited you a bit, but it was a bit too predictable song. But I am happy you went a bit mainstream instead of an old fashioned song. I do think your vocals weren't displayed as best as they could though. |

A bit of a mixed set of comments tonight for Maria, with Naruto even calling the song choice a little bit too predictable but will the public agree.
Now that we have heard from each category we will go back over to the girls and we now can welcome Cassie Compton to the stage singing Kids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UGnCjRm_Dk Ignore male vocals |

Cassie Compton
I found it very melodic and very emotional and vulnerable. I liked it a lot, and strangely reminded me a bit of Adele! It was a great performance Cassie, and your vocals were fabulous. |

Cassie
That was spine tingling Cassie, I love that song and there's no denying that you're a massively talented artist, obviously this isn't just as folky as your previous performance but we will return to your roots in the next few shows when the theme permits slightly more, with this song I wanted to show that you also have an edge and I believe that you delivered with that. |

Aiden, I found that performance sensational! It was so amazing to see your vocals shine with a song that matched your voice! You are quite hard to mentor, but you have just done me justice! |

Aiden
This was a nice performance Aiden, if I'm being honest I did find it a little lacking in personality as your quirky, unique vocals were slightly lost in the performance however it was without a doubt, sung fantastically. Obviously it was a hard theme as you have to be realistic so kudos to your mentor for going for a song that you could do justice to, I don't think it was you at your best but hey we always have later in the competition to really come out with a killer song. Well done! |

Some good comments for Aiden, although Kev did think it lacked the spark that Aiden usually injects into his performances.
So now we head over to the groups again and we welcome F.Y.D. onto the stage performing Cry Me A River http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DksSPZTZES0 |

F.Y.D.
This was okay guys, obviously you weren't going to be able to sing the same style of song as last week as this theme wasn't allowing you to go too indie but you did the best with what you had and I enjoyed the performance guys, well done on another polished performance and I do hope to see you in next week's show. |
