Are we forgetting the Asian community

People talk about the Irish vote and the scottish vote, but the Asian vote could be just as strong in deciding who will win Big Brother.

I remember reading on here the year Shilpa Shetty won that some guy put money on Shilpa to win as soon as she steped in to the house as he thought the Asian vote would be big. After everything that blow up its hard to say if that is true or not.

So I wondered do you think the asian vote could tip the balance.

Typically the "Scottish Vote", "Welsh Vote", etc, etc would only really come into play when that person has done something to make their home particularly proud. In that situation a town, city, country may really get behind a person. I don't think Sara has done much to make Scotland really get behind her and same goes for Conor and the Irish but who knows with Deana. Has she made the Asian community proud, are they looking at her as a good representation for them? If they are then yes it's possible.

How about we try and see the housemates as people that will get support from all sections of society? And vice versa.

Not try to pigeon hole who would like who based on assumptions.

British Indians obviously can.
Not sure that Indians from India would vote.

I am Asian, I am a Sikh like Deena from from Birmingham, I want her to win not coz she is Asian, it coz she so deserves to win, I hate the fact that peeps will vote to save someone just coz of their colour, culture, where they from etc, but should really think, do they deserve my vote!!!

This is my thinking as well. I support someone due to who they are not what they are.
But people do talk about the irish vote and the scotish vote etc etc. Both have been proved to be true in the past.

Quite a few Northerners this year, but even though i'm from the same neck of the woods...i'd never vote for any of 'em.
Regional voting might play a part sometimes (Jay & Alex) but i'm not sure they can influence the votes too much.

Not sure what you mean That Deana won't win because the majority that are not Asian will not vote for her

Obviously the whole country doesn't vote and she might even get some non Asian votes

I think the OP has a point but no idea whether it's valid as can't be scientifically proven.

Then that would only apply to those who have not long been in this country. I should imagine that at least most of these people's communities have all heard about Deana as Miss UK India would be supporting her despite what they understand. Simply because it does become territorial and passionate.

I'm Glaswegian, and do feel a level of support for Sara even though she repelled me initially. The fact that she's done nothing further to repel me, then yes, I would like her to stay as a fellow kinsperson.

Why people pretend that we are not biased in anyway or form, is just denial.

Edit to add: I would have more respect for people who say that they are supporting her because she comes from the same country and background in that country, and shares common beliefs, culture etc......than those who say that they are not supporting her for those reasons, but because of what she's simply doing on the show.
