I don't currently get Ten (or ABC for that matter) because of signal problems so don't see any of their promos, I just have to catch up online, though currently on Ten the only things I watch are Lara Bingle and The Shire, 2 shows that are so bad they are goodand make the cast of TOWIE look like Mensa members.

I think Puberty Blues will do similar numbers to Offspring, and expect it to get the same sot. Its adapted from a well known novel which is a good start, and seems to have some substance.

The two reality shows I think will tank. I will survive does have a fair bit of media buzz, and signing Hugh Sheridan as host is a bold move, and Jason Donovan as judge at least gives it more star power than Young Talent Time. But going out in the same sector as the X Factor I dn't think will work, AGT didn't clash with the Voice in its live shows but suffered from Reality overkill. I guess for TEN if it can do above a million a week it will be a good success, but I can't se the final surpassing 1.5m, and suspect it could do around 800,000 a week most likely.

Everybody Dance Now I think will do far far worse. Having a UK X Factor reject judge in Kelly Rowand hardly screams success, but Jason Derulo is a big current name. Don't know enough about the format to say how it will do (presumably Jason Derulo can't judge every week?) and highly suspect it will be doing about 600,000 a show.

One thing that can't be said of TEn right now is that it is stale, post-Olympics it is packed full of new shows to 2012, whether any of them are successul on the other hand is another matter. On this point though the last 3 months has been surely a wake up call for 7, plodding along is ok, but when Nine make an effort, its reliablt bankers have faltered. Dancing with the stars, Home and Away, Rafters and AGT have suffered greatlt in the ratings. Following the very poor performance of The Voice US and the fact that those shows that start the loudest fall the fastest, I can't see come, 2014 the Voice being the huge obstacle it was this year, but Seven do need some new ideas. I'm glad Mrs Brown has worked, perhaps looking for UK imports like Downton could be a way forward as most the American shows are below a million, and Thursdays really need a kick up the backside (I know Better Homes and Garden acts as an obstacle to this)

YAY!!!!! I think Part 40 will happen this September, I can feel it.

@Wryip (from The Ratings Thread: Part 37) -

I think Seven will always rely dominant on American imports, and when new ABC/Disney Production shows does really well in America, Seven hits the jackpot like Revenge. Body of Proof is growing and does decent for their 9:40pm/10pm slot. Nine suffered badly with their WB imports, but that is at their own fault by everlasting repeats of TBBT, The Mentalist. They repeat so much that they can't promote their new episodes/shows properly. FOX imports for Ten is a mixed bag here. Modern Family still holds well but New Girl declined slowly as the season progressed. House, Touch and both NCIS is doing horrendously.

Corrie smashing it, a clear million ahead on first showings, nearly 40% share for its episode, and pushing 8m with +1 included.

ITV must be relieved to have something to smile about, with Superstar being frankly tragic and the Olympics coming up!

In this heatwave, its amazing anyone is still watching tv at all.

So no Olympics ratings for the women's football from anyone? Did upsetting the world's most volatile nuclear power not do anything for the peak? Was it even on tv? Surely one of our eager BBC bunnies can confirm?

I didn't even know EE was on yesterday. I'll be off to iPlayer then.

I'm very excited for the Ratings on Saturday. But considering the weather and the fact there will be big screens all over place, my 16.7m seems hopeful to say the least. 13m looks more realistic.

Abysmal for eastenders, and there are sure to be complaints regarding seven episodes of eastenders after the olympics,

I would hardly describe it as abysmal. EE is not usually on on Wednesdays. It's no different to Corrie's random Sunday episodes some of which have rated below 6 million.

It's been reported by Mike Teevee - 1.6m for the afternoon match. Excellent start - the other Team GB matches will all be on BBC3.

I don't need to come up with an excuse.

I don't think anyone (well except JJ ) was expecting EE to top the night last night and even he was only expecting that so he could make a dig on here when it inevitably didn't happen.

Saying it only had 6.2m because it aired on a Wednesday is not an excuse it's a valid reason. Like when Corrie airs occasional Sunday episodes and they don't rate well. At least it's done better airing on a different day to when Corrie does - 6.2m is better than below 6m dear.

Anyway it's clear you have a bit of an agenda here John or you would lose the tone. I only hope the age in your profile isn't your true age.

Bert & Dickie bombed a bit then. I thought it would get 5m at least. Has anything Olympics related rated well yet?

I see the BBC is still not promoting in any way the Opening Ceremony, just promoting the Games overall with the generic trailer.

Surprising.

Yes there is one person in the Outer Hebredies who hasnt heard that its on yet.Luckily it rains there a lot and there is no other social activities to distract from the tv.

PS. as regards the weather my in car temperature display was showing 36C yesterday afternoon. OK it was in the direct sun but that must be a record.
