By official ratings, I meant like a round-up like we get everyday.
They are still overnight ratings, they are not official ratings. |

BBC were good last night, but it was annoying they were showing a vt when Ennis was introduced to the crowd before the 800 metres should have been one of the big moments.

BBC Three peaked with 3.5m (32.8%) yesterday, BBC Olympics 1 peaked with 1.4m (10.8%).

Official ratings with a roundup by me? The ratings by me are taken/sourced as it clearly says from the various websites.
They are still overnight ratings, they are not official ratings.

3.5 million and 32.8% share? I take it not a lot of people were watching TV yesterday then.

@rogermosey: More #BBC2012 Saturday TV stats. Apart from Mo's 17.1m: @GregJRutherford 15.6m; women's team pursuit 9.2m; rowing 6.4m; 3.5m peak on BBC3.
Great for the team pursuit - that was at 6pm. Rowing peak would of been sometime between 11.30 and 12.30. |

The share suggests that the 3.5m peak was during the day, whatever BBC Three were showing yesterday afternoon may have won it's slot.
Also, the 17m peak will be about ~65% to 70%, one has to assume ~2m were watching the football on BBC Three as well. Also, here is the BBC One top 15/20 from last Monday to Thursday to give an idea of what it will look like when BARB updates a week tomorrow: 7.58m (33%) - Olympics 2012 (THU 1900) 7.47m (32%) - Olympics 2012 (WED 1900) 6.98m (30%) - Olympics 2012 (TUE 1900) 6.37m (27%) - Olympics 2012 (MON 1900) 6.14m (34%) - BBC News at Six (WED 1800) 5.72m (28%) - BBC News at Ten (MON 2200) 5.70m (27%) - BBC News at Ten (THU 2200) 5.60m (41%) - Olympics 2012 (WED 1600) 5.52m (26%) - BBC News at Ten (WED 2200) 5.50m (27%) - BBC News at Ten (TUE 2200) 5.46m (40%) - Olympics 2012 (THU 1600) 5.35m (29%) - BBC News at Six (TUE 1800) 5.10m (27%) - BBC News at Six (MON 1800) 4.84m (36%) - Olympics 2012 (MON 1600) 4.79m (35%) - Olympics 2012 (TUE 1600) 4.63m (25%) - BBC News at Six (THU 1800) 3.82m (37%) - Olympics 2012 (WED 1345) 3.73m (37%) - Olympics 2012 (MON 1345) rogermosey More #BBC2012 Saturday TV stats. Apart from Mo's 17.1m: @GregJRutherford 15.6m; women's team pursuit 9.2m; rowing 6.4m; 3.5m peak on BBC3. 11:19 AM - 5 Aug 12 Huge numbers for the team pursuit and the rowing!

Also:
BBCSport Some of you have been asking when the medal ceremonies are for Mo Farah and Greg Rutherford. Rutherfords is at 18:50 and Farahs at 20:05. 10:47 AM - 5 Aug 12 Great move to have them both in primetime, and rightfully so. |

Fantastic numbers! I was fortunate enough to be in the stadium last night and it was craaaaazzyyyyy! I had never been to a stadium before
and I didn't know what to expect but seeing Team GB win three golds right infront of me was something i'll never forget! I had such a great time last night and glad everyone at home enjoyed it too! I think 2012 has been a great year for ratings! Jubilee Concert, Euro 2012, Murray at Wimbledon, Olympics! We've seen quite a few 17m figures haven't we? We still have XF and SCD to come! |

The Olympics are not exactly setting the ratings on fire, from yesterday's offerings ratings for ALL channels are abysmal, BBC only came alive with a rather bland 6 million in prime time, ITV collapsed. I fear the Olympic effect has caused the drift away from all channels.
And it will get worse, team GB are frankly crap for the investment in them and as the team is crap fans will be reluctant to tune in if mediocre performances are in store. ![]() Quote:
I agree about team GB. Considering the investment put in them and the fact they are meant to be "The best, strongest team ever fielded in an Olympics Games" here's what's happened:
Medal hopeful Mark Cavendish finished 29th. Nicole Cooke a reigning Olympic Champion failed to get a medal. The mens team archery are out. The womens team archery are out. Ben Ainslie getting beaten into second place by the Danes in his two races. Volleyball teams are rubbish, the beach volleyball teams are out. We now have a silver and bronze. But Gold is still looking a long way off. The rest of the world have severely upped their game and our athletes have kept to their same familiar plans which the world have sussed out and capitalised on. The more we go on losing, the less interest the public will show towards the games. I do think that Team GB should be nearer 20 golds had a few things going their way. Silver and bronze are good but they winners of those medals don't get stamps. Very few competitions give prizes for second or third. It's all about gold. |

What a year it's been for British TV ratings.
The Top 10 for this year is just amazing so far. I'm blown away. As a nation we love our TV, do any other countries compare to the levels of viewership in proportion to the population size? |

^Nope, afraid not.
For the equivalent BBC One timeslots above, these were the BBC Three numbers, using the equivalent timeslots so I can write the shares: BBC Three 06:00 to 08:45 - 152k (4.4%) 08:45 to 11:15 - 1.06m (11.5%) 11:15 to 13:00 - 2.09m (15.3%) 13:00 to 13:15 - 3.48m (27.2%) - also channel 15-minute peak 13:15 to 17:00 - 1.30m (10.2%) 17:00 to 17:15 - 2.21m (14.2%) 17:15 to 18:45 - 1.34m (7.4%) 18:45 to 22:30 - 1.42m (6.0%) 22:30 to 23:00 - 1.64m (7.8%) And a BBC Three primetime, 15-minute breakdown: 18:00 - 619k (3.3%) 18:15 - 488k (2.5%) 18:30 - 1.33m (6.9%) 18:45 - 2.07m (10.5%) 19:00 - 863k (4.3%) 19:15 - 819k (3.9%) 19:30 - 1.41m (6.5%) 19:45 - 1.71m (7.7%) 20:00 - 1.82m (8.0%) 20:15 - 1.37m (5.9%) 20:30 - 1.29m (5.4%) 20:45 - 1.48m (6.0%) 21:00 - 1.19m (4.5%) 21:15 - 1.45m (5.6%) 21:30 - 1.39m (5.2%) 21:45 - 1.39m (5.2%) 22:00 - 2.41m (9.4%) 22:15 - 624k (2.6%) 22:30 - 2.41m (11.2%) 22:45 - 867k (4.7%) 23:00 - 496k (3.3%) 23:15 - 524k (4.0%) 23:30 - 385k (3.3%) 23:45 - 334k (3.3%) 24:00 - 499k (5.7%) 24:15 - 662k (9.0%) 24:30 - 629k (10.6%) 24:45 - 507k (9.6%) 25:00 - 476k (10.4%) Combined BBC1 and BBC3 15-minute peak therefore was 16.8m (62.4%) at 22:00 Before that, the hourly breakdown was: 09:00 - 268k 10:00 - 1.75m 11:00 - 2.18m 12:00 - 2.08m 13:00 - 2.23m 14:00 - 1.23m 15:00 - 1.06m 16:00 - 1.24m 17:00 - 1.96m So a fantastic day for BBC Three. |

14.7 million watched Jessica Ennis win last night, excellent, as I thought the football would have held it back to 12 million. This year has been fantastic for ratings, although this has been helped by the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics.
