How could it not be, those are the only 3 programmes they have shown!
Brilliant to see the marathon Saturday and Sunday night prime time coverage managed whopping figures of 12.36m and 14.25m from 6.50-10.20/10.30pm respectively.
The second of which would have topped the whole year in 2011!
And there must be a decent chance that with 14.25m, that Sunday edition of Olympics 2012 will rank above BGT, TXF and SCD in 2012. Let us hope so.

Not me! I said weeks ago that the opening and closing ceremonies would get at least 20m. It was history and people would want to see it. I also said that the closing ceremony just might top the opening ceremony. It's done that in overnights let's see what happens with the officials. After the success of Team GB and the way the games were embraced by the country, it was utter madness to think it wouldn't get close to the opener!

It was probably just a last minute EPG update rather than a programme log alteration. (Allowing viewers to record the 100m without having whole 3.5hr broadcast)

Joshua boxing gold - 4.7m BBC1/BBCO (3.30pm)
Murray pentathlon silver - 6.6m BBC1/BBCO (6.10pm)
Super figures both on a hot Sunday afternoon when not a great deal of hope was flagged up for the final day.
And those who did want to record the whole lot to get it up to the 100m build-up - and then stop...

More fool them because it was classed as a separate show on EPG's. It's just like Strictly. The results show is never listed separately. That's why The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent feature twice in end of year charts. You couldn't make it up!

Is Dallas taking over OUAT's timeslot, I think that's a good slot although I would have preferred Wednesdays at 9pm but it's good counterprogramming for the X Factor and could steal a few viewers from BBC One,
The Olympic channel ratings are absolutly spectacular, people didn't just watch the Olympics cause they were on, in many ways they were participating in them! Very amazing.

But the Strictly results show IS always listed separately – it's shown on a separate day from the main show, and always means that Strictly has two entries each week on the BARB charts (one for Saturday, one for Sunday).
This is a different situation – it's a question of whether the Olympic coverage should be counted as one uninterrupted programme, or whether it should be split into smaller chunks (as far as ratings are concerned).

Speculation only as it has been promoted around OUAT and they might want to capture the remarkably loyal audience for this US hit and give them another show right off the bat.
But 8 pm seems an unlikely slot given its content I would have thought. Not without cuts. So a 9 pm slot seems more likely.

cylon6 is referring to the submitted programme logs. 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'Strictly Come Dancing - The Results' are both listed as 'Strictly Come Dancing' on the BARB site. Meaning they only get one entry in the end of year chart.

Will the opening ceremony not cancel everything out anyway?
I think its best to give that, then detail the peaks - then compare everything else under that.
The Olympics are just colossal, we all know this, counting it 20 times really doesn't add much. Give it its own 'summary' frankly.

That's not really the same situation as here though. Surely this is more similar to the question of whether the Euro 2012 matches should be split into chunks or not.
Whether or not the 100m final was listed as a separate entry, all the Olympic entries are simply listed as 'Olympics 2012' regardless.
Why did the BBC schedule timings so hopelessly last night? With a Sky box it was not a problem as it all recorded and the BBC updated the EPG on the fly (I recorded it for my mum who I knew would be too tired to stay up till after midnight but at 86 was still so captivated by the Olympics she would not miss it).
Not surprised by the viewing figures given my mum's reaction (the day before the Olympics started I was told that she was not interested in watching anything - but in the end we had to tape the ITV soaps so that she could watch every sport with a Brit involved!)
However, I have had a couple of friends today who lost the last hour of the show because the Freeview HD recorders they had did not update on the fly.
So the BBC - if this show was not vastly overrunning and they knew their 11.30 pm ending was miles out when setting the EPG and keeping it that way to the very last minute even on Sky - will get some flak from people who missed the end.
