Since having had BT Broadband for a fortnight now and very pleased with it, I am. However I have been checking the 'speed' of their service using a variety of online devices and am surprised just how much data these tests consume!
I have now installed[b] networx [/B, a bandwidth monitor, ]on my computer and found that one I was using, consumed over 60MB for the DL test and so have deleted that from my 'Favorites'. I am now trying one via the Moneysupermarket.com which is much better in this respect, consuming less than about a half.
My current DL speeds are >15Mbps and UL ca 1Mbps which is more than enough for my needs.

Yes. 10gb and after 14 days of testing and surfing in my usual fashion, with only some YouTube snippets on day on, I have already consumed 2.2gb. Therefore, on this basis my monthly consumption would be of the order 4 to 5gb, although won't be doing so much bandwidth testing in future.
This usage is in such contrast to my previous Vodafone dongle, which was capped at 2gb/month - never exceeded that or ran out before the month's end.

A 15Mbps download speed means that you would be able to stream BBC iPlayer, Sky Go etc. video in high quality not to mention streaming radio, internet music services etc.

With an umlimited package you could make the most of your new speed.

I don't need all that! However I could upgrade to 40gb/month for £18/month instead of my current £13/mtg.
