I have the P which is the next one up, I considered the U but with only 4Gb useable storage and no card slot I thought it was crippled a bit. If you want a smaller phone like the U then look at the new Sony Xperia Go as thats pretty similar to the U but has a microsd card slot.

I did see that, but the screen is only 320 x 480. I might aswell get the Xperia mini which I did nearly get. i don't think 4Gb is that bad. Its only 5mp camera and I pretty much always upload my photos to my laptop after...

I have been looking at the Xperia U as a First foray into a smartphone, it ticks all the boxes except the lack of sd card, it does have 8Gb but only 4Gb is user accessible.

Looking around I have found that there will be a new phone called the Xperia Sola, its basically the same as the U but with slightly larger screen and a sd card slot but a non removable battery.

Looking at pics of it I think you can remove the battery but would need to take the phone apart which does not look too hard.

I think I will wait till its available as see what the price is.

I got this phone a week ago, and find it totally unusable due to the positioning of the buttons on it. They run down the right hand side so that unless you have the tiniest hand you end up cutting yourself off. I cannot use it and am close to using a sledge hammer on it!

Anyone know how I can change out to another? This is with Orange contract and they won't entertain an exchange, I have no clue what to do now.....

I decided to get the Xperia U in the end. I have been very happy with it! The button havn't caused any problems, the only thing is the touch buttons on the front which I sometimes hit and cancel what I was doing, but that rarely happens
