i'm not scared of heights, it's just this thing. so maybe it affects her in a similar way, although i do see she seems to be scared of lots of things”
This has happened to me too and usually happens coming down spiral staircases or going up stairs that I can see through. As you say, your brain is saying "errr keep walking" but muscles on the backs of your calves lock and seem to be saying, "on your bike mate, Im staying put".
Sorry, but I disagree with the other part of your message. Natalie has never "frozen" with fear, which is what happens when you have the type of phobias she reckons she has.
John Fashnau was terrified of heights and he perspired and shook and froze to the point where even his larynx froze up and he couldnt speak, let alone scream for his Mum and make more noise than god knows what while teetering melodramatically on a rope bridge.
In fact, reading other posts on here, it looks like Natalie tripped across the rope bridge without a care in the world with Sophie leading the way. Now I know what Id prefer if I had to go across it. Being on my own, controlling the sway of it and stopping when I needed to. Two people on a rope bridge would make it wobble and sway all the more! So, in fact, the "trauma" should have been worse for Natalie.
As Fannanni points out - she wasnt traumatised because the cameras werent on her.
