Still doesnt make up for america getting 2x 5 minute clips.

We get a 30 second trailer big deal yet I bet the states will be able to still see it.

I thought the people who went to the event saw the clips, not all of those people were American. Also I don't think they have shown those clips on American TV so most Americans did not get 2 x 5 minute clips.

That was just the people who went Comic-con, not the entirety of America. If I'd been there, I'm sure I'd really have appreciated something exclusive to make it feel more special.

Anyway, this is exciting news!

America didn't get them. Comic-Con did. How many times must we go through this

Only those who paid to see the clips at Comic-con got to see the clip.

Also, the trailers we get can't be seen abroad, as they don't pay a TV licence. They'll only see it if someone uploads it on YouTube. Please, drop the 'i should get everything first attitude', it's getting tired.

And technically, we did get the first look - we had the first series 7 trailer.

The Merlin series 5 trailer is out ahead of schedule! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5QTlOG53Bw

Is this a good omen for us getting the Doctor Who trailer before Thursday?

That's a very odd change, pretty much a week earlier than planned Though in my opinion, that Merlin trailer is awful compared to the comic con one they showed.

Terrible music choice also. Hopefully we get some Murray Gold with the Who trailer.

But, but... It's Muse! I'd love a Muse Doctor Who trailer!

Okay so maybe Muse would work better for Who than Merlin (Uprising especially, as we know ). But yeah, I think it makes the trailer more generic if it doesn't use it's own score.

I personally think we should have some more Two Steps from Hell with the trailer.

DW Website reports that the trailer will be 90 seconds long.

Won't this be the longest Doctor Who trailer seen on TV outside of the show? Hell, even the Series 6 comic con trailer was 68 seconds.

Not too much longer than the S7 preview we already have, but it's still very long to run on BBC One!

It's not that much of a surprise, it does say "feature-length trailers" in the press release and the other drama trailers that have aired during the Olympics have been 90 seconds. I doubt this trailer will be aired frequently, or even seen again after it's second screening, they're just to take advantage of the Olympic boosted audience.

The Merlin one linked to above is only 41 seconds.

Yes but I'm not convinced that's the one that will be airing on Friday, they wouldn't have the rest 90 seconds and the Merlin one only 41s. Also it's already aired on BBC1 so I imagine there's another one because these trailers were especially made to be aired in Olympics primetime (around 8pm) so I doubt they would air it earlier.

Also, there is a new screenshot on the BBC website. Slight spoilers.
