Michael Jackson's family feud

It's all going whacko over Jacko's money...

Guardianship/custody of Michael's 3 kids has been taken away from his 82-year-old mother and given to TJ, Tito's son (and member of the group 3T). This required the childrens' consent under California law. They believed their grandmother had been kidnapped and taken to Arizona by other family members, and think she's been drugged after her slurred speech in a TV clip saying she's alright.

Randy Jackson seems to have been instrumental in trying to get Michael's Will declared void, along with Janet, Jermaine and Rebbie - they claim it had been fraudulently made by two legal hangers-on shortly before Michael's death. None of Jacko's siblings stand to inherit a dime under the terms of that Will.

Janet Jackson is said to have arrived with Randy and Jermaine at TJ's place to try and take the children away, with Trent Jackson (cousin of TJ) allegedly biffing Jermaine in the face and having Randy in a headlock, all while Janet called Michael's daughter a spoilt bitch because the kids wouldn't go of with Jacko's siblings.

Other Jacksons seem to have been left out of it or are remaining neutral, with Marlon upset he wasn't told where his mother was, or invited to be with her, and Jackie angry with the others.

The kids have taken to Twitter to give their version of events, saying that Michael warned them of certain people.

I find it fascinating. I thought Jermaine was supposed to be a devout Muslim now?

And how would that stop him trying to get what he thinks is his entitlement?

Because theoretically Allah provides a believer with everything he needs in life. The Koran warns against piling up wealth + putting material profit before God + ethics.

Central to Islamic finance is that money has no intrinsic value + is simply a mode of exchange. Earning interest is not allowed.

If only it were that simple.

There is absolutely nothing in Islam that says you can't earn wealth or go after what you feel is rightly yours. Your correct in the piling up part, but even then, as long as you pay your dues (Zakat+charity) your all good.

I don't know exactly what he has been upto, so he may be going against his religion, but money corrupts the strongest willed.

I know, I'm not really being serious. I hope I didn't offend you. All religions emphasise the spiritual over the material, Islam is no different to Xtianity, Buddhsim or Hinduism in that respect.

I don't see how trying to alter your brother's will in your favour, kidnapping your mother, + trying to take minors out of the state against their will is commensurate with good ethics whatever your religion.

Dont be silly, no offence taken.

I completely understand what your saying and agree with you. Was just pointing out religion doesn't mean much to some where money is involved.

I don't really care what the Jacksons do. It's no concern of mine.

I never thought I'd ever come to the conclusion that Michael Jackson was probably the least loopy member of his family.

I just hope when Prince turns 18 that he legally takes over guardianship of Paris and Blanket - then they can all stick their two fingers up at the family and see them rot on the breadline where they deserve to be. With Michael's will, he obviously was well aware of just how parasitic his brothers and sisters are.

Congratulations, I see you got what you wanted. There's nothing 'showbiz' about this story, it's a news item. If the only arbiter is that it involves famous names then I wonder if you'll be kind enough to make the same remarks in the current GD threads about Paul McCartney miming, Mohammed Ali, or the one asking if people take showbiz crap seriously - to name but a few?

And? Do you go around telling adopted children that their adoptive parents aren't their real ones too?
