hmm.....
i've sent some texts from my O2 Online PAYG phone to this girl i know on Orange PAYG... i dont think she got my texts as she hasn't replied or said that she got them, yet a mate of mine has been texting her too, but he's on O2 contract (she's been receiving those) what the hell?? i'm phoning her up today so i can ask, if she says no she didn't get them, then a certain network is gonna have some explaining to do! lol

I called O2 Customer Care yesterday, and apparently my messages were deleted whenever they got to the message centre. So what happened was that they had to make me a new message centre account and from late last night my problems were fixed!

I took my K700i into my local O2 shop today as I've not been receiving texts, the woman admitted there had been a few problems with this phone and said that to sort the problem out the battery should be taken out and put back in to 'reset' it. Now whether that's a load of cack or not I don't know but since then I've asked mates of mine to text me and they seem to be getting through now.

yeah ive heard that one too ive had loads of ways to 'try' and fix the problem and it does work for a while but then it goes back to its old ways. I dont think its got anything to do with the battery its just turning the phone on and off again that restarts it.

hi guys,
I've been having these problems too, and am getting more and more annoyed at o2. Glad to hear others are in the same boat tho. after many emails to o2 (some of which were written by a barrister friend of mine to scare them) i was still getting the same rubbish response, so i rang up and b0llocked them, and theyve sent me out a new phone, a smasung so lets hope that solves it....rubbish though, we all wanted k700's that worked, not ones that didnt. if i were you i'd ring up and as them for a new one. dont let the ba5tards drag you down. |

It does turn the divert off but also it sends a message to the network to resend all messages that have not been sent to the handset, I should know I used to work for IBM systems at o2 who installed the network for it.

Do you think the 02 service need to be improved a little as it seems to be playing up once in a while ever since the free calls weekend at the end of October. 02 is mostly fine with me but it has not been 100% in the last 5 or 6 weeks.

I Spoke To Sony Ericcson Yesterday As I Am Having The Same Problems With My K700i. They Have Told Me That They Are Aware Of The Problem And Are Working On It. Its Somthing To Do With The O2 Software And The K700i Software Not Being Compatible. I Hope They Sort It Soon Because It Is Really Annoying Me. You Buy A Nice Phone And You Expect To Be Able To Use It Dont You?!

Sony Ericcson T230 I have and had it 11 months. Got it on offer from 02 just after Christmas last year and hardly had any problems with it just the 02 service now and again in the last few months like I said im other posts. All network will play up a little as we get nearer Christmas and new year.

Thing is i dont want another phone I really like the K700i and its stupid that they should let it be on market if the software is not compatible! I might try the breech of contract thing if it keeps happerning though and hope that works. Its true that some networks have there problems from time to time but this is just over the top! If o2 did agree do cancle my contract i would rather go with orange as out of all the networks they seem to have the less complaints and you get through to their customer service really quick too!!

Well i've tried the ##21# trick and the battery removal thingy and finally got some text messages (12 hours later at 5am) and all is still ok a few days later!
Carphone Warehouse helpdesk have given me some useful info this evening; they are aware of the problem and advised me to go to one of their service centres and get the software re-flashed and then all will be ok. I think you can re-flash from the SE website too. Shame the bimbo behind the counter at CPW couldn't tell me all that last week. |

Will doing the ##21# thing work for all networks that are being a bit slow in delivering messages? I'm on Virgin and have been receiving late texts for a couple of weeks now.
