Diana Rigg is STILL my ultimate girl crush, right from the 60s (so a little earlier) through to the 80s. She was incredible.
Steven Pacey (Tarrant in Blake's 7) was a dish too.

I loved the previously mentioned Sam Elliott, Tom Selleck and Bruce Boxleiter. I regulalry switched my affections between Bodie and Doyle in The Proffessionals and thought Richard Beckinsale was heartbreakingly good looking. I also had a crush on both Dukes of Hazzard boys who incidentally have aged rather well, as I found out when I was searching for the theme tune the other day.

Plus, I could never quite get the love story of The Thorn Birds when the rejected Bryan Brown was much more appealing than leading man Richard Chamberlain. But then she did pick him in real life.

I was a great fan (still am) of the fabulous Peter Wyngarde and watched every episode of Jason King and Department S.

I remember reading of a scandal where it was reported that Peter was charged with 'importuning'. Being about 11 and very innocent at the time, I didn't know what the word meant, but guessed somehow that it was something to do with naughtiness and with men.

It didn't put me off in the least - I still fancied him like mad.

I agree - I never have liked Richard Chamberlain's eyes - too cold - and I was very disappointed when he was picked.

Nobody's mentioned Lewis Collins for a while now. :-)

Must add a few more names

OJ Simpson (murderer, but was very handsome)
Mike Henry (played Tarzan and appeared in MASH in the 70s)
Donald Sutherland (not conventionally attractive, but very sexy)
Elliot Gould (as with Sutherland an unconventional sex appeal)
Alan Bates (specifically in The Go- Between)
Tom Skerritt (with beard in Alien)
Gil Gerrard (Buck Rogers)

Oh and mustn't forget... Lewis Collins.

Always thought Yul Brynner was gorgeous,i especially thought so when he was mean and menacing in westworld. But I must have a thing for baldy men because I also find Errol Brown out of Hot Chocolate
Incredably handsome.

He was very handsome in Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy

I think Rik Mayall was quite cute in the 80's

Just a funny story...my eldest sister Maureen was a huge Lewis Collins fan. She had a life size poster and everything. Anyway, she also liked Shaun Cassidy from The Hardy Boys and set herself a challenge that whoever she wrote to and asked for an autograph, the first to reply would be the one she'd marry (she was a teen in the 70s!! v. innocent)

Collins replied with said poster - signed!!! She loved him after that.

She married a bookie from Pinner!

That's a nice story. Of course Lewis not only signed my poster, he ended up marrying me. If only...

I used to sneak into my sister's room and peak at her Jackie mags to look at pictures of the hot boys of the time.

I actually just got some nice black and white A0 sized prints for my hall stairs of James Caan, Roger Moore and Clint Easrwood all shot in the 70s. Perhaps I should make room for one of Lewis too.

That's the Mail for you - they specialise in belittling famous people who no longer look 25 when they're in their 60s. They probably followed Lewis around for hours to get the worst photos that they could.
