It's very true that the editing of '..Takes Two' is of course meant to provide interesting TV, but the friction between Brendan and Sarah is I'm afraid all too real judging by the press stories/interviews and the obvoius tension even on the live show. Plus Brendan saying Sarah didn't show him respect/ her heart wasn't in it live on BBC2 only really says one thing.
There was an edge to both that just wasn't present in any other couple, even during 'bad' weeks.I don't think it's that Denise and Ian were at loggerheads that the GBP didn't like, more Denise's attitude not only on the edited highlights of the week but also on the live show (her responses to the judges is really cocky sometimes). I personally don't get any sense that she's humble at the opportunity or the experience or wants to learn from Ian. A professional dancer having to tell a non-dancer that *he's* the teacher and could she please respect that is not endearing.
I think Denise needs to re-think how she presents herself to the GBP who have an affinity with the underdog and those who give it a gold old try (ie. Eddie the Eagle Edwards) to people who declare they're the best/deserve to be in the final. She actually does deserve to be there, but she might not be if she continues to alienate the voting public.
