hollyoaks last week
anyone watch all of last week or some of it as just watched e4 omnibus and it was pure drama all away through hardly any or no comedy, it was superb.Is this a sign this soap has realy turned around.
and there was a mix of storyline and a good continuity. i realy liked lee/bombhead stufff(main part of all episodes), and then the smaller storylines: justin being sent to boot camp, lennie having to put up with the scars of what justin done, bella in bed hearing the other talking about here, and dan laying into darren there was a alot of emotion its good to see lee and bombhead not as comic characters, sensitivity and good background music all away through and all well paced. |

I'm saving it for the omnibus. I LOVE THE OMNIBUS. Its an obsession I have. Sunday's wouldn't be the same without it.

It's so good it angers me that it's not winning awards. I'm blinkered as to why people voted for Eastenders for the Smash Hits T4 Poll Winners Party when Hollyoaks is doing much better at appealing to teens. And ** Hallows has promised even more. She said that the show will start to be reflect popular teen dramas like The OC and One Tree Hill, where the older characters will build foundations just as much as the younger ones.

I have slagged off Hollyoaks in the past for the crap acting and silly storylines but i have to say i really enjoyed last weeks episodes... The scenes with Bombhead and Lee were fantastic... when they were playing Kaplunk... it was such a nice scene... and finally Justin got what is coming to him. Does anybody know what is the story with Bella... i read a spoiler yesterday about there being fireworks when everybody finds out her secret.... dont know what it is though.

I've been watching Hollyoaks for years, and it's the only soap I never get completely bored of (go through phases of not watching EE or Neighbours these days - haven't watched Corrie or Emmerdale for years). I love some of the surreal little things they throw in, and believe that when HO does cover serious issues it does them really well.

I missed some of the omnibus as I was cooking Breakfast...can I ask...
Did Darren hit Debbie and how did Dan find out? Did Darren deserve a good smack? Did Justin actually get sent to boot camp? |

Jumpy, no Darren didn't hit Debbie, she knocked her head on a coffee table while they were 'fooling around' - her words not mine!
Dan did beat him up and then I think Darren must have told the police because I think Dan got arrested at the end (I was only half watching sorry). Justin finally got sent to Boot camp and I'm going to be counting the times that Liz says 'but he's my son' next week which hopefully the script writers might vary slightly and let her say, 'Justin, he's my son, he's not a bad boy' or something. |

Tony did mention last week that Mandy "is away at the moment" - the usual excuse - and I thought I saw Ellie briefly talking to her Mum about Bombhead. I agree it's annoying, but doesn't really seem to happen any more on Hollyoaks than it does on the other soaps I've been watching recently (but I don't watch all of them, so apologies if I'm wrong
)

Its a bit like Katy and Martin in Corrie, where the hell have they been? Hopefully Katy has been absent so that her hair can grow back into a decent style.
There is another storyline with Mandy/Tony will-they-won't-they-split-up-yawn so I suppose they are saving her for that one. Shes probably in panto rehearsals same as half of the soap cast that mysteriously dissapear at this time of the year. |

He bothers me like Justin bothers me, all attitude for no reason.
I mean, why:?! He's always slagging his Dad off, yet he lives in his house, and works for him! If he hates him so much why not move out? He is about 25. And Have a shave and a haircut you nasty scumbag! |
