Just wondering what peoples best Sound tracks to a motion picture would be.

I'll go with

Daft Punk - Tron Legacy
BeeGees - Saturday Night Fever
Various - Bridget jones Diary

I'm rather fond of the soundtrack to Nosferatu-Phantom Der Nacht. Some lovely, eerie tracks on it.

friend of mine has amde this page for Sounds Of The Cinema

https://www.facebook.com/SOTCinema

which will hopefully be taking off and will post a load of soundtracks out there!

I for one love Im Breathless by Madonna and Batman by Prince that utilised music inspired by the respective films (Dick Tracey for Madonna and Tim Burtons Batman for Prince)

Also love the Hans Zimmer productions on Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the latest The Dark Knight RISES soundtracks...just sublime beauty like the respective films!

I own the soundtrack to Batman & Robin too which arguably...the music surpasses the film by a long shot! And has The Smashing Pumpkins - The End Is The Beginning Is The End which is sublime!

American Beauty
Witness
The Piano
The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

American Beauty has a sublime soundtrack....exceptional use of Trip Hop to really recreate the suburbia distortions in the film...phenomenal

Not a fan of soundtracks which just bring together songs used in a film, they're just compilations albums. Musicals are different.

I have vast score selection collected over many years. My standouts are predictably Jaws, Halloween and Psycho.
Unpredictably my choices would be Supergirl, Psycho II, Breakdown and Mrs Doubtfire.

Ah yes, The Lost Boys! How could I forget?

I love that soundtrack, particularly "Lost In The Shadows", "Cry Little Sister" and "Walk This Way"

Most recently purchased and listening to:

Watchmen
Vanilla Sky (although my two favourite tracks from the movie, Njósnavélin (Sigur Ros) and Ladies and Gentlemen We're Floating in Space (Spiritualized) aren't included)
