I don't quite get what Joe Pasquale has done to deserve such popularity.
Sure, he's a likeable and amusing character, but I've yet to see him do anything that would justify him being crowned "King of the Jungle."
He hasn't yet endured any great ordeal, or done or said anything you wouldn't otherwise expect to see him do in real life. I haven't seen him challenged or particularly affected by the experience, which in itself might be an argument for why he should win, but it also rather defeats the whole point of the exercise.
At this point a Pasquale win would be a repeat of Tony Blackburn's victory, and when I look back on that I still struggle to remember the point of it.
