First Sons & Daughters episode
Sydney, 1962: David Palmer and his girlfriend, Patricia, turn up at a boarding house run by landlady Fiona Thompson. Patricia is heavily pregnant and gives birth in her room within the boarding house. After the birth has taken place, Fiona asks David what he wanted - a boy or a girl? He says he doesn't mind. Fiona tells him he has one of each - twins.
Patricia is not happy, though. After a week, she decides to leave David, and she takes her baby daughter with her. She leaves her son for David to look after. David decides to call him John. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was reading the summaries for the first episodes on the S&D website, and I was wondering, do we actually see these scenes (from 1962) in the first episode ? If so, I'm assuming they have different actors playing Fiona, David... |

We did see the younger versions of David, Patricia & Fiona.
Pat McDonald played the younger version of Fiona, but David & Patricia were played by younger actors. |

Patricia and David were played by different actors. Jackie Woodburne (who plays Susan in Neighbours and Julie in Prisoner) played the role of young Patricia.
The same actress played Fiona. |

Didnt they show this again in the last episode ? I know history repeats itself at the end but wasnt a flashback shown to this initial scene.

No, they didnt.
The last episode does end the same way the first started, but the action fades from Fiona speaking to a picture of John and Angela (the original twins) |

Means nothing to UK fans does it?
They are showing a special recap of the first two hundred and fifty episodes initially and have ordered fifty episodes, sounds crap to me. |

It is, isn't it? I'm pretty sure it was on (it was last year, anyway) on channel 5 at 5 am on the weekend in a double bill.
