That's how I remember it also.

That's the episode I mentioned in my first post on this thread - life-changing for me as a five year old

Is that John Adam I spy as Ben's mate? Later played Luke Cunningham that taught at the school and dated Roxy and Rebecca Fisher (2nd actress). Ooh I fancied him when I was in my early 20s.

Really, enjoying seeing these older episodes but finding it takes a little while to try and remember whereabouts in each characters story we are. I really hope that 5 (or if different people in charge 5*) realise that these repeats are giving some satisfactory ratings so consider showing every episode again.
I've watched Home and Away for many years (not past few years though) and hadn''t realised Sophie had featured so early on.

LMAO, Grant's face there was more like he had smelt an unpleasant smell than he had just realised that somebody was dead

I did notice that. Some of the acting is a tiny bit suspicious but the incidental music really sets the scene is these episodes

The music is wonderful. It was one of the many reasons why I love Home and Away. But it disappeared about ten or so years ago, and the type of music that replaced it and still stands to the present day is nowhere near as effective.

Without realising it, this may be the reason why I started to lose interest in the show too

Yeah, I used to have a bit of a childhood crush on her. Then Sophie, then Chloe, then Shannon. Think I realised after that, that no woman would match their standards, so I turned lol

I remember that episode when Tom died, the first time around. Tom Fletcher was the just the sort of guy who you wanted to be your dad.

He moved to the UK and done a few TV stuff (I remember BUGS but know he done other stuff) and a bit of amazing music. I'm pretty sure he is a theatre actor now

And Pippa's the woman you would want to be your mother, particularly the second Pippa.

I'd forgotten that the Beach house, owned by Irene for many years had appeared this early. I loved seeing the inside of Donald's first house in tonights and also so much Julian McMahon.

I can't help feeling the second episode yesterday was a bit wasted - it didn't really have anything to reccomend except being Minogue's first and we had her in tonights. I'd have rather seen the episode where Bobby found out Don was her dad or the fire with Phillip dying myself.

For me, first Pippa seemed a bit out of place after Tom left, even though I adored her. 2nd Pippa seemed like a totally new character but with all the same family-orientated characteristics as the first.

I've loved seeing the old Diner. A set that I missed greatly when it was revamped when walls and doors moved locations.

.
I haven't got round to watching yesterdays episodes yet (will do tomorrow when it's kids naptime). I felt that some of the choices on the website were a bit random such as this. Yes, it was Ms Minogue's first episode but there were better options available for more dramatic and memorable scenes.

Yep that was him! He looked different without his shaggy hair.

Don't really remember much of Pippa 1.0 and Tom - Michael had certainly come along by the time my childhood memory kicks in, and hopefully they show his death episode as that will show how far the show had come in just a few years.

Had to laugh though at Tom clearly still breathing as he lay dead - and also was Marilyn in the beach house? Even though the set was little more than a cheap stair case and small sofa it looked like it was what became the beach house (Irene's place).
