I think until he comes back on our screens it wont feel any different, which in a way is nice. Gives us grieving time!
I think something I dont like the thought of it her not being in the opening credits! That'll be weird...

I am annoyed at the situation rather than the writers. I feel it was more a combination of bad timing rather than something they wanted to do, infact probably far from what they had planned. They've created such a unique couple that was far from anything thats been done before, I dont think they were ready to let them go, they were just unlcuky, as were we. ”

Your probably right. I'm just still upset I need a break from it. I was feeling better but I think now that Tuesday is almost here I don't feel to good. It's the reality of it all. Opening credits

I know what you mean. I used to love waking up looking at my phone and realising it was tuesday. Or having been at working then on the drive home realising I could get chill out with Holby, purely for this storyline!!

Even my mother, who knows how much I loved Holby, waits for me to say "Its tuesday..you know what that means!" and dissapear to watch, is shocked at how uninterested I am.

I just hope I can watch Holby and find what it was I used to love and what it was that has kept me watching all this time before leddi was even on our screens!

I've been watching Holby since series 2, not that I remember it all, but I never have felt this much for a storyline, and never have I felt so 'anti-holby'!

Well, I just re-watched the episode with my parents who are casual Holby viewers - definitely felt different as I had to keep very emotionally distant. Even my mum said "or is it not goodbye because she's coming back?", although she also said about SJP's acting, "How does she do that with her face?" (Me, "It's acting, mum"), she couldn't remember who Liam was or that the drug was Camoxidan so she ended up calling it something that sounded a bit like Coco Pops

I did pick up more on the parallels of the patient storylines - the diabetic saying he knew he wasn't ready to change, Aisha taking a risk to live, Mr Herrod pretending to be ill to feel important - I guess I could see more how this linked into Eddi's thinking. Although, still stand by all our previous comments. I remembered also that Luc's leaving felt very quick, even though I knew he was going. It felt like he wouldn't go until we saw the empty car parking space! Again, the pacing of that episode was a bit off.

I agree with Hatz though, it's more just an unlucky set of circumstances than anything else. Yes, I am a little frustrated at the writers for some things but they have 14 or so characters to write 52 episodes for, and they have to give all the stories we aren't so fussed with the same amount of care that they give to those we do. And they have to plan ahead, and take so many things into account, I imagine they have to make compromises we aren't even aware of. Here's hoping for one more little piece of magic from them, involving a happy ending for Luc and Eddi.

I will watch tomorrow's episode, I think I might even not mind it because my expectations are ridiculously low! I will watch it quite indifferently until Luc is back and then it will be very interesting to see how they take his storyline. I hope you all stay in here and post your comments, I do feel like I know some of you now and I'd feel a bit lost if I didn't see this page near the top each day! As Sacha would say, "I love you guys!"

Aww, superdooper, you have started my waterworks, that is so sweet of you. I feel I am among my sisters here. I have been so depressed since last tuesday and you gals have kept me uplifted all this time.
I don't feel as much affection for Holby as I used to and Luc and Eddi definitely received little screen time ( compared to Sahira and Greg, which was ok but I couldn't feel a connection with them) but Luc and Eddi have made such a huge psychological impact on all of us because their story was so affecting. I still can't shake their story out of my psyche. Hope you get my drift here.

I feel we have to keep this thread alive until we see the final conclusion of Luc's journey then we can have closure.

Ahhh thats very sweet makes me want to watch just so i can comment on here. Just got get over tomorr then im sure ill start to adjust slowly. I know this is leddi thread but can we discuss over hc things, characters etc or do i have to join the other thread? Dont really want too as i prefer this 1 everyone is so nice.

We can still discuss all things AAU here if you like as Sacha, Michael are Luc's colleagues and will always be connected with Luc and there will always be some reference to Luc in conversation I am sure.

EDIT: I feel we can write a critical analysis or thesis on this whole Luc and Eddi storyline and characterisation, its so interesting and intriguing. There are so many topics to discuss once we have all the information (Luc's background etc).

Aw, sorry, Maria, didn't mean to make you well up! I do mean it though, this thread is one of my favourite internet places, so I hope as many of you as possible can try and stay on board. It's definitely made a difference being able to discuss here. I think that's part of the reason why I've been so caught up in it - wondering what you were all thinking, and that sense of community and us sort of all being on the same page about why we love them.

I reckon we can discuss the upcoming episodes here, even if they are without Leddi - we did 3 months of this thread with no Luc before! I think enough of our posts will inevitably relate back to Leddi that we will still be on-topic as far as the mods go. Besides which, I feel much more at home here than on the main thread now. We've got to get to page 200 somehow

Am glad your mum thought that! Shows us, we're not actually crazily over thinking this [ok we are] but at least normal viewers think this too!!

Having said that my sister returned from Holiday and missed Holby, she doesn't watch every episode or anything and catches it when she happens to be watching tv at that time, This of course doesn't stop my weekly ramblings to which her usual replies are "and which one is he?" "Uhuh.." but even after explaining this weeks she questioned it and was like "shes hasn't gone for good though? Right?" So needless to say we're not alone in our thoughts. Normal people are with us on this one...

Haha tha face comment! I have to say I do watch some of her scenes and think how does she do that? EG. The first scene with of the last episode, when Luc was making jokes about her vomit. Her laugh and smile was so genuine. Usually you can tell they're acting and something isn't actaully funny to them, but with her I find it impossible.
She's very good for someone who strikes me as being very shy!

Coco pops. If only..

This I only picked up on really properly the second time round. All of them can apply to Eddi. *sigh*

Aww..I feel like that too superdooper! This is my little escape from the world, I cant imagine not popping on here most nights to talk about them! We can keep it at the top, and by page 200 we'll be laughing at these 'depressed time'posts and grinning about the fact they've just driven off into the sunset together!

EDIT: Yes, the main thread scares me. Its homely here and we can still discuss Holby in general!

Very funny about your mum and the coco pops Glad to hear she thinks she'll be back, gives me more hope. Thanks

I will also try to watch it to keep this thread alive. After all we only have each other to get us through this. Anyone else would think we'd lost it

Oh my dizzy days....Just thinking about watching an old episode of Leddi, so I chose Shes Electric only to find myself practically welling up at the fact he puts the "Do not remove from AAU" sign on her....No way am I going to watch that now! I fear all the episodes are now tainted...

Hatz,
Yes, I love it, driving off in that camper van with the sun setting in the background through that meadow place where they were so at peace with each other in 'The Third Way'

BTW, hatz, 'Eastern Promise' and 'Ribbons is much more uplifting to watch. Loved the banter in that too. Luc is superb in winding Eddi up.

Will definitely continue to post on here...love the chats how can I refuse not to? And it will be great to talk more on HC in general, knowing us we'll manage to relate it back to Leddi in some shape or form, even if it has nothing to do with them. It will most likely be, saying another male and female characters have a bit of a banter and it will remind us of the way Leddi used to banter. It will be the little things that we will pick up on....as we love to over analyse every bit of detail! That's what I love about this thread....the endless possibilities that run through our mind!

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's ep in the sense I want to see if they mention anything about Luc and/or Eddi's disappearence. Apart from that I'm not too fussed.

Not another one going! All the way to Christmas. She sounds like one not to mess with! Luc you might not be able to keep disappearing

I don't think its permanant, Henrik will be away for a couple months. I think lying low in Sweden. I have a feeling, the foreign episode is going to be in Sweden. He's back in the new year so as there is big story on him as well (away from his DoS).

The new CEO sounds interesting, she will be rubbing people up the wrong way, I heard she will be having a big impact on alot of well loved characters at Holby.I am sure. I can see Luc not getting on with her. He doesn't take heed to authority. He works out his own solution and injustices.

Tbh, I am not exactly doing cartwheels over tonight's episode, just updating myself of what will happen. I suppose, we have to carry on. We may get a spoiler on Luc this week, if he is in on 20th November.

Jac is in the foreign episode but I have a feeling that she finds out more about Henrik. I can't remember where, someone mentioning Stockholm as the possible destination.

5hrs to go!
Yep, doesn't have the same impact knowing there will be no Leddi to look forward to

Though Jac is a fav of mine so I'll be looking forward to her scenes. She's a fantastic character. Tough exterior but with a soft side deep within. It just time to discover it. Her character is so unique, like with Hansen, Luc and Eddi! Just wished SJP could have stuck with Eddi for another year at least. Rosie has done it with Jac and is still going strong...then again life intrudes as it does. Fingers crossed for a return though

@Bex,
I wish we had 2 full seasons of Luc and Eddi, then I would have been happier because we would have had some more funnier scenes and banter to reminisce, even if they did have to eventually split up as it is a Holby trait.
The next 3 episodes is all revolving around Hanssen's exit (albeit temporary I believe). The only other dovey couple is Ollie an Tara and tbh, and watching their trials and tribulations of love is like watching paint dry (I don't mean to be mean but they are dull as a couple). Also, I see Jac and Jonny as passing fling, it doesn't seem like a serious or meaningful relationship to me. Also, I will always associate her with Joseph.

I am looking foward to Michael and Serena's battle of control in AAU
boddy

I like jac too so will be glad for her scenes coming up in next few weeks. Im even starting to like jonny too & it was nice to watch a couple who not too intense or serious like leddi was towards the end! I hope they grow as a couple they will never be leddi i know this but i dont know who joseph is so to me jac/jonny are something new & find their scenes quite light hearted.

Trying to forget that last weeks episode was so heartbreaking. Im trying to be in denial & pretend its just another week as norm. Trying being the key...
