Although i did like posting on the main HC thread, i do prefer this thread, mainly because everyone shares my love for Leddi but also everyones nice and friendly in here

I agree, Superdooper that is a brilliant comparison Max is very much a modern day Mr Wickham! But does that mean Max and Luc will have a history? I have said in the past it will be a bit cheesey if they know each other, and i still think this but anythings possible in holby land!

Just had another flick through those photos. I realise that it was taken off camera, but that one of Max and Luc in bloody scrubs canoodling (to use a Sacha word!) is really a bit disturbing: I too am looking forward to some major enmity there. I think I'd prefer Max in a headlock, haha!

I don't think they need to have met before for Luc to see straight through him, and Luc's heckles will be up if he sees Eddi being all chummy with Max. That said, I guess medicine is quite a small world, Dan and Greg knew each other, and come to think of it Dan and Simon too...

There is sooooo much to look forward to: the field, the haircut, the Max/Luc dynamic, the Luc/Chrissie dynamic, finding out more about Luc's past. The BBC clip for next week's episode doesn't give much away re AAU, and I reckon when they bring Luc back, that will be the kind of clip we get.... I CAN'T WAIT! I am starting to fnd the haircut rather attractive now I'm getting used to it!

I too think the bbc clip wont show anything regarding his return, I dont think he will be in any spoilers either, I know they state he cast list before hand but i think they will intentionally leave him out. I mean they went to all the effort of removing him from the opening credits just to get up off the scent. , its all going to be very hush hush

Mind you sounds like there is a lot going on in this epi so I guess not Looking forward to the next cast list. I mean if Eddi and max are in it we know a Luc return is possible. The next spoiler we get [sept 4th] will be exactly 10 weeks since he left!

Shame no Eddi/Leddi mentioned but overal sounds like a great episode. Although i am getting a bit fed up of this no referal scheme, its ridiculous!! But i do love the Spence! Wow things hotting up bezeeen Jac and Johny!

I think it sounds like a good'un too! Although dont like the sound of michaels storyline ending with 'devestating consequences' Really wish things went his way for once....I think hes had waaay too much bad luck as of late.

I agree that it will probably be the 4th, as you said some time ago Hatz he was due to take a 10 week break & we are getting closer to the series end! Can they keep him off the cast list? I guess it's up to the BBC? Whilst I would quite like to know about his return it would certainly be very exciting for us all if he did just pop up!! That said after waiting so long for him to return I think we all deserve some decent scenes, so if there are only a few names and most from AAU then I guess we'll be in with a chance! Just have to wait & see ladies!!

I think they can keep him off the cast list, just as long as the actor agrees. I mean its not like they'll not be credited and it'll def create a much bigger surprise, something I reckon the producers & probably JM would enjoy.

But yes, seeing as we know he had 10 weeks off, we do know roughly when he is due back, and can probably guess if the cast list involves a bunch of AAU folk.

September 4th is 10 weeks since he was last on screen and exactly 3 months since he began filming again! The exact length between filming and airring of all episodes! Of course this is assuming he appears staright away...He could have been filming scenes for later episodes or something annoyingly silly

Thats a good point about Michael 'devasting consequences' he is over due some good luck for once.

Well Hatz your theory re Lucs return does make sense and your theorys are usually spot on so fingers cross not long to wait!!

I have always felt sorry for Michael. Even when his first downfall started and his affairs came out...[I really dont know why though, I mean he was totaly to blame]

Holby has a strange way of making us attached to characters that even when they do something wrong or bad we still feel for them. Unconditional love I think they call it....

But i really hope this isnt another major set back for Michael. When he first appeared he was such a confident on form doctor, Have to say I prefer him as a doctor opposed to Director or Surgery etc. Dont think management suits him. Love him on AAU He fits in well down there, they all seem to be unlucky in love or weird or complicated down there...

This lengthy gap is getting a tad bit boring now I mean there is only so much fun you can have with a caravan [coming from someone who has spent almost every summer of my life in one! Not as big as Lucs one..unfortunatly And hes by himself....or so he'd beter be!!! ]

Yeah, it is about time Michael has some luck on his side for a change. Maybe this down period will be a turning point for him. Some good can come out of bad situations. Depends what light you look at it.

I hope your theory is right too hatz! The length of Luc's absence is leaving a lot to be desired I have to admit. I miss his odd charismatic charm. That and the whole Leddi fever!

Welcome to the thread Dillyp, its great here, hearing diverse analogies from the great posters and potential plots coming up about the Leddi saga, I love it here.

I am also intrigued about the haircut too as to why, is it some sort of sign, like an act of contrition or something in order to redeem himself. In some eastern cultures, if one has done something wrong, their heads are shaved. Anything Luc wears or changes in appearance are always appealing.

I have a feeling Luc is going to appear when we least expect it and we will be caught off guard, as we will be engrossed with some other storyline to send us off track. I think this is a ploy by Holy producers to tease us. We know he is coming but we don't know when.

Me too. I even felt sorry for him during the plastics implants scandal, I thought his friend manipulated and used him and Michael was abit naive about expanding the Plastics department. Also, Michael really has never found the right woman who can nurture him. Its a shame Alex left after a few episodes as I thought there was alot of potential in their relationship.

He is definitely a daring and dynamic doctor and wouldn't fit in a management type role. He has a great rapport with patients and his staff but I also think Ellliot, Ric and Michael have a grudging mutual respect for each other, despite being professional rivals.

Have a feeling there will be more slimy Max before Luc comes back. Would be interesting to see Max get caught out by Luc...and then Eddi, unsurprisingly, does not trust Luc.

Also, am getting accustomed to JM's new hair, slowly but surely I'm getting there - I'll like it once he's back on screen!

Yes. I really to think it'll be more of a work triangle rather than a love triangle.

I think perhaps a tricky situation regarding a patient will occur, maybe both doctors will want to treat different ways, and eddi will be stuck in the middle.

I was also thinking maybe Maxs laidback attitude and the responsiblility he has given to eddi causes her or him to make a mistake, maybe ending up with Luc covering for them?

Am sure this storyline is going to involve something along those lines. Eddi having to choose which doctor to side with, the underlying 'not at all subtle hidden message' being her also choosing that doctor in her personal life

Sounds like a very plausible thing to happen hatz, I wonder if it does, hope it does as it sounds very interesting. Oh I can't wait for him to come back. Thank god the Olympics are on to keep my mind off it for a while!

Given Max's slippery introduction, my assumption is that he will make a mistake or something happens to one of his patients (considering that he goes off into the woods for undeterminable lengths of time), and blames Eddi.

Then both her personal and professional trust will be torn between Max (who she's getting cosy with this week) and Luc (who she previously trusted and got burnt by).

I agree with you where this story will be going but somehow, I feel Max duplicitous ways will be found out by Eddi eventually. The great review by pauselivaction, described Max has having 'lupine charm' which I feel is spot on. To me that sound like Max is a wolf in sheep's clothing. If that is the case, then Eddi is heading for disaster all over again. I hope it doesn't put her off men for good. So, the sooner Luc gets his a*** back to Holby, the better.
This August is dragging abit, thank goodness, I was distracted with the Olympics, it feels like Luc's been away forever.

Just interested to see how close shes getting to him to be honest. Obviously rebounded on the closest thing to Luc, but still intrigued...hoping we're not going to see them wake up together or something after their drink [Knowing Eddis drinking..I guess that'll be a 'yes we are']

Me too, I am curious how Wolfi (thats my new nickname for him now), I mean Max is going to make the moves on Eddi. It L took Luc ages, even then he was unpredictable when he told Eddi he was preparing their evening of adventure together. Tbh, I am bemused with Eddi falling for this lupine charmer so quickly. I guess I am a hardline Luc Loyalist.

I've found myself looking more forward to tuesdays because of the next spoiler, and not the actual episodes.

Ok the storylines are interesting, but lordy, Lucs absence has just been too long, that the suspense of the story has kind of dissolved Shame because it had [could still have, I guess] potential

Basically he just needs to return. This section of the storyline has run its course
