Frank thinks he's safe. Ian got the blame for speaking out of turn, making Shane and Britney nervous about his vote. As of now Frank is going home.

What did Ian do that was out of turn, and if Britney/Shane were nervous about his vote surely they shouldn't have nominated Frank then if they weren't sure they could get him evicted?

Because he believes Shane and Danielle want to work with him and Danielle is the deciding vote this week.

Ian was asked 3 times whether he would nominate Shane if he could next week and gave non-committal answers. This played into an earlier talk Britney had with Boogie about how committed his team is to their deal with Shane. So to control the vote Shane nominated Frank. That was the excuse anyway and they seem to have bought it.

I think it's a good move for Danielle to attach herself to Shane - yes they will want to split them up soon, but Shane will be the target and act as a shield for her for a few weeks.
