Hair oil? Morrocan oil? Have just bought some myself so will let you know if it's as good as they say it is!

Eek. If its that bad and breaking off bŷ the handful only a cut will suffice. No one wants to hear that but it doesn't sound hopeful for her Jen.

My hairdresser explained that you can't repair bleached hair - you can re-dye it, but the hair itself has been altered. The hair has to grow out. I bleached my hair nine months ago and she's right - it doesn't take colour the same as it used to and it's more brittle.
Perhaps take your daughter to a hair dresser to assess the damage? The worst case scenario might be a good trim. |

You need a protien treatment like joico k pak reconstructor or aphogee 2 step followed but a good moisturising conditioner (i recommend dark and lovely ultra cholesterol). If she heat styles her hair she should stop or at least cut down on use. Oiling with a little bit of coconut oil on damp hair after washing will also help.

Once she does this then you can assess whether she needs a cut, it sounds like she will need to take some of the ends off though because once they are damaged you won't be able to repair them. She should do a deep moisture treatment twice a week until her hair problem resolves. The problem with bleaching is it makes the hair really dry so she needs to use a deep conditioner regularly to ensure the hair stays moisturised because if her hair is too dry it will simply break off. |
