She'll be in the middle of the European leg of the BTWB when the VMA's is on and I think she confirmed on that Little Monsters.com site that she wasn't attending anyway.

I think it's a good thing to be frank, next year I have no doubts that she will slay again with the next era, so it's nice that the VMA's can have a Gaga-less year.

I'm surprised Lana even got a couple of nominations since she's not really that big in the States so I'm happy about that, even if the chances of her winning are pretty slim.

The SNL debacle still in play there, sadly. Oh well. Their loss, hopefully us in Europe will get even more of her than if she had really taken off in the US.”

Well, she'll probably get nominated in the 'Best New Artist' category at the Grammy's, so no worries. She'll have re-released her album by then, so maybe she'll get more positive feedback from the States

I love Linkin' Park, but I think the Black Keys deserve this one more. Such an amazing video!

By the way, looking at the categories, I wonder why there's no "best r 'n' b video". Rock, pop and hip hop have their own categories, so why not r 'n' b. I understand it's not a very popular genre anymore, but there are tons of r 'n' b artists who could use the exposure and the recognition.

I'm glad that they didn't snub Rihanna again. WFL is an obvious favourite.

Happy for Beyonce's LOT, too.

Don't think there are any surprises there. Lana wouldn't bring in the viewers or voting to warrant the nominations, which is ultimately MTV's goal. Gaga isn't attending so didn't expect anything there, either.

I'd say I had a good day of fishing.

@zerayaldr AHHHH SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED TONIGHT **** OFF AND GO AWAYYYYYYYY

RT @HausOfMohammed: @zerayaldr ----------------- WTF ?? OPRATION : KILL THE BITCH

Mcfly fans come to a close second in the nutjob/idiot rankings”

If you were hoping to come out of that like the mature, reasonable one - you failed miserably.

To be honest I don't think the videos for Marry The Night and You & I are that great. Its right they were ignored. The video for Edge Of Glory was just a mess of cringe as well and as Born This Way was nominated last year she had nothing else to offer.

I was hoping to get a reaction... which I succeeded in

What's the need? I am a fan, so that makes me deluded? This generalisation is ridiculous.

Personally, I don't mind she isn't up for anything. She should be focused on her new stuff and I'd rather be getting more of her new stuff than to be looking back on BTW. Plus those videos nominated are very, very good. I do think her performances are amazing though. Her 2009 performance is first class.

I hope Katy gets something, TD was really great.

I am not surprised Madonna isn't up for anything. I personally think MDNA is atrocious and compared to her old stuff, a mighty let-down. It's mostly empty dance tunes. If she rakes it back in with her next album, she will rake in all sorts of awards.

It's not a case of ignoring, there were simply much more logical nominations to have. Y&I and MTN weren't as big as the other songs...and because Gaga isn't going, they wouldn't offer a kiss-ass nod for ratings either.

These are the VMAs, quality of the video hasn't much to do with it.

In the past Britney had no problem is getting videos nominated despite them not being big singles.

She was ignored because they didn't think the videos were good enough. Thats the truth of it. Unless they have decided to snub her purely for personal reasons which if is the case then may effect her future VMA chances as well. They don't forget. Ask Maroon 5.

If quality was to do with it, their is no hope in hell that "Take Care" and "Glad you Came" would be nominated. It is all for ratings and headlines, not the quality of songs/videos. I don't think MTN should have been nominated, but quality is not related to the VMA's.

In my opinion, GaGa was not nominated (which is not that big a deal tbh!) because she slayed the entire MTV in 2010 and she didn't even attend. After such a triumph, it was obvious (and reasonable) that MTV would shy away from nominating her in order to avoid the "favoritism" tag.

Why? Have they been blacklisted? I don't remember them saying anything against MTV. Besides, they're nominated in one of the major categories (either VOTY or Best Pop Video)

I just can't at the Gaga stans now saying the VMAs arent anything to do with quality!!

The irony is that had Gaga been nominated they wouldn't be saying that.

Also I guess Gaga's previous wins also had nothing to with with quality but instead was all about headlines and ratings. Yep you walked straight into that one...

From what I see, most fanbases say the same thing when their faves don't get nominated and/or don't win.

I don't know if I am being included as a "Stan", but I do believe the whole thing is about headlines and ratings. But we are talking about the nominees here, not the voting system. So if someone like The Wanted are nominated, I think that is ridiculous, but the voting from the public should be by quality.

So I "walked straight into" nothing. I do not think the organisers have quality at mind when nominating people, but voters should, which means the right people should be nominated.

But obviously this reply will be ignored and the complaints about the "crazy Gaga stans" will go on...

Harsh, but at least he was honest...

Maroon 5 got nominated for 'Best Pop Video', though, so maybe MTV have moved on from his statement. Either that or the sales of their single gave them no choice but to nominate the band for something!

The VMAs ARE crap anyway... Drake, One Direction, Rihanna, The Wanted, Chris Brown, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, David Guetta, Maroon 5 & Coldplay?

Doesn't that tell you everything you need to know?

And Adam Levine can shut up aswell... he needs to rememer what he does, he's in Maroon 5 and a judge on the voice. He has no credibility.

Out of curiosity, who would you nominate?

In all fairness, out of all the talent shows, 'The Voice' does have some credibility. Just saying...
