Brendan Brady (Emmett J. Scanlan) Fan Thread! (Part 128)
Quote:
I am to an extent, because I've wanted a Brendan two hander for so long.
But it just really stings that it's not with Ste. ![]() I don't know. I just felt that if they ever did a two hander with Brendan, it felt right that it should be with him. If Ste was in Later, this probably wouldn't hit me as hard. But he's not, so this is just another let down. I'll get over it though. |

Happy new thread... Quote:
I think Walker's made himself look like a target as well to try and get Brendan's suspicions away from him.
I was half way through quoting you, LMan. Hmm, interesting thought...

The need for a stendan two-hander isn't just stupid squaling stendan fans wanting more of their boys. It's something the show actually NEEDS to do to properly resolve all of their unresolved issues. It's important. But, no. We get Brendan and Walker two-hander instead. Trapped in some random place, probably holding guns and being homoerotic and shouty and f*cked-up. Yay.

It's what I think, Sarah. It's a bit coincidental that Brendan is suspicious of Walker and then, oh, suddenly, someone is plotting against both of them. ![]() |

What has annoyed me about all this is that Kieron is just being left out time and time again.
First Later, now a two hander. I don't think their going to give Brendan another two hander after this. I expect Stug getting one is more likely than Stendan now Kieron seemed to want that Stendan two hander an awful lot and it's been taken away by Bralker? Not cool HO, not cool. ETA: I'm sure it will be a good episode, but still... |

A new thread for ranting
![]() My post got lost but I was going to say I agree with Maya. At this point though a Stendan two hander would not be a good thing as it'd be a resolution rather than a reconciliation so, there is that. I don't feel I know enough or care enough about Walker to be excited by a two-hander but my only ask is that this answers questions rather than makes new ones. |

*sobs*Someone tell me to get a grip. ![]() I think you're right about Walker, by the way. What were we saying last night? If he gets any sense of Brendan's mistrust, he'll be taking some sort of action to rectify that. |

Clearly all they care about is the gangstary stuff which in my opinion has been crap so far if we're meant have been thrilled then their really underperforming. I think they won't do a sendan special because clearly noone who works there can write a decent dramatic episode so it would be crap and the important things probably wouldn't get mentioned it would probably be all about doug.

Our boys have some serious talking to do, but given what we know about Later, and assuming Brendan's alive at the end of it, the time for that will be after Later.
I can't not be excited about having a whole episode of Brendan, and surely this must mean that we're getting somewhere at last with the Walker mystery. |

Hm. It's all well and good Hollyoaks wanting to provide mystery and get people talking, but right now they have about 100 mysteries all at once which just makes the audience alienated and confused, rather than intrigued. I don't even know who or what I'm supposed to be watching right now. I don't know who my favourite characters are or what they're supposed to be feeling. What is Ste bloody DOING?!
Urrrhgghhh. |

But it still stings just because I'd be massively surprised if they gave Brendan another two hander. Emmett will be immense regardless, but it just seems like such a waste from a character POV. |

I think I'm annoyed because I don't really care about Walker, or his secrets.

![]() I'm just amazed they're doing this before Later. Because I was assuming Later would be all about Brendan working out who Walker was and what he'd done. plenty of time for long 2-hander scenes there. So I guess this is meant to set up Later in some way? Ach, who knows? |

seriously don't understand what Brendan and Walker need 30 minutes to talk about if there wasn't so much crap in the normal episodes the story would be getting somewhere.

What about the next day, then?
"Brendan goes to extremes to get a confession." ![]() He's going to try to trick Walker into admitting he killed Lynsey maybe??? |

I'm actually in favour of a Stug two hander.
I don't even care anymore. If Brendan and Walker get one, then Ste should get one with someone else. And Bralker makes me weep. I honestly can't understand what everybody sees in them. They don't have any kind of chemistry, they never had an actual conversation, Walker has done nothing but smirking and teasing since he arrived and Brendan looks ridiculous and makes stupid decisions when he's with him. What a giant load of shit. |

This two hander isn't an extra episode though it replaces the 6:30 doesn't it?
There is no worry about explicit Bralker scenes for some people then ![]() Plus I guess a whole half an hour of Brendan isn't a bad thing, I'm sure it will be exciting and it does mean less Stug. *trying to see the brighter side* |
