Hi all, just got the LG 8120 Mobile Phone on 3 network and I was trying to use it to connect to the internet (Wanadoo) I can connect the phone and the laptop by RF or USB and send TXT ok I just cant connect to the internet, it dials ok then cuts off.

When I dial the number (08450796699) on the phone it connects to Wanadoo ok.

Anyone help?

It looks like Three block that number on their network, probably to stop us using it to browse the internet on our phones instead of using their walled garden.

I just tried it from my phone as a normal call and it cuts me off instead of connecting, but if I call that number from my house phone I get the modem tone that I would expect.

Looks like connectin to the internet via your Three handset isn't going to happen I'm affraid...

Unusual then, I just tried it again now on my Three handset and it doesn't even ring. It says connecting for a few seconds then I get a beep and it disconnects.

I also tried this from Ms Lalalands Three handset (which is the LG, mines the Motorola A1000) and hers also does the beep then disconnects.

I assumed this was to stop us using the internet via dial up, but I could be wrong.

I can dial other numbers starting with that code and I have full 3G signal. It's definately not allowing me to dial that particular number.

Do you get the modem sounds etc. when it answers and what signal type do you have?
