Google Streetview
I seem to be the only person in the country who can`t access Streetview. I can get the sample and famous places examples, but for the life of me I can`t do what others can-- find a local street and move up and down and around. Well, ages ago I could get into my local street, but the thing always went into one position and wouldn`t move more than a short way from it. Would it please be pssible for some kind person to tell me exactly what I need to do to join the magic club - what`s the secret, please?!

where you zoom in, there, above the plus sign there is a picture of a tiny little man.
all you do is drag that man onto the location where you want to view, and street view should be activated . |

Thanks for that - I did know the theory; my difficulty is getting into the position where I can see the man, in the location I want. I can`t seem to get the appropriate screen where I can input the location I wish to visit. Is there any software to be downloaded? I have Google Earth, and I think I can get to Google maps -is that the route into Streetview? Why are these applications so complex -surely there should be a simpler way....

Thanks again, will give it a go, of course- but still wonder why, for example, the link is so drawn-out and frankly complicated -why can`t things be more straight-forward, I ask myself -sadly,to no avail.

Scroll and zoom the map to where you want to go. Keep zooming in and if that place has been StreetViewed then it will automagically flip into StreetView mode. Alternatively, drag the yellow man from top left. Then the areas marked blue have been StreetViewed (UK, USA, southern Canada, France, Belgium, Netherlands, most of Japan and Italy, some of Australia, hardly any of Russia, none of China, etc). Drag the man to a specific street or road and it will flip into StreetView mode. Have fun, it's great but it's addictive. |

The one thing I don't like about Google Street View is that many areas haven't been updated since 2008 and some roads you go down, even when there hasn't been any roadworks, you go down the street on Google Street View, and they have missed out big chunks, sometimes skipping past things I want to see!

Checkout the newly added Yosemite Valley Street View
Paste in the following coords 37°42'56.29" N 119°40'35.04" W, zoom in so you can see the car park. Drag the man to the location. ![]() Explore Eurodisney in 3D ![]() Fly down the Grand Canyon

Streetview is already out of date. I see it every time.
