It's pretty fascinating but admittedly uncomfortable at times to watch. I hate bullying.
Funny how older women act this way, i.e. favouring one of the younger woman over another. I wonder how Nancy would have faired had it not been for Vic comig to her rescue. I don't think Janet has much time for her either.

I have no doubt Sophie is being as bad, we are just not privvy to the clips on the editing room floor.
sheila and janet are the worst. nat is a mess and part of this is expressed as bitching. huggy seems prone but is worried about how it looks. paul does it disugised as rational thinking. even fran can be capable. joe and nancy could get involved. maybe even vic. And sophie seems vulnerable too. which leaves erm no-one.

It's just a case of whether the cameras focus on it for any length of time and survive the cutting room.
I've certainly all heard them at one time or another between the soundcuts which seem to be more extremme this year.

technically, hut bitching doesnt count much to me. Group bitching is far worse (trying to spoil somone time while they are there) but hut bitching is nasty too cos it spoils someones memory of the place when they get out (for instance brave Johnny spoilt Jordans memories of being there).
It depends how they are bitching in the hut. Sheila is trying to influence the public (currently 66/1 at some bookmakers), whereas Sophie was hurt and trying to be defensive (although it didnt work very well). Joe and Huggy seem like group bully condoners. Im embarrassed for them

As for the men's part in it all - they are a bunch of wimps crawling up JSP and Shiela's backside. I honestly can't think of anything more cringeworthy viewing than seeing men bitching about women, especially younger women.
They just make it so obvious that they are a bunch of has-beens jealous of the younger celebs chances of cutting a career out that has long since gone for them.

i totally agree with this post, i always thought that JSP would have been above this kind of thing, but it just goes to show shes no different to the others, shes not a strong independant woman, she a bitter old hasbeen
I obviously listened and watched too much of this (while doing other work), but I have seen and heard Sophie and Nancy have a good old bitch, they're just playing a canny game.

i watched an awful lot as well, and yes nancy and sophie have bitched, but the difference is theres was mild and in humor and about EVERYONE, janet sheila and natalies have been aimed at shopie and 99% of the time at sophie since vic came in, they seem to think that she is the devils spawn, what has she done wrong for all this venom

I actually think that Nancy is scared witless given that she ingratiates herself to everyone in there, and until Vic came along to her rescue, she could quite easily have found herself in Sophie's position.
Ostracising and bullying is what they are trying to do to Sophie - not nice viewing at all. Made worse by the fact that this is older, mature, so-called professional people, with the wimpy scared shitless men joining the bandwagon. Shameless the lot of them.

I personally would find it hard to take to her after witnessing how easily and convincingly she can tell bare faced lies.

What lies has Sophie told?
There's a line between bitching through boredom and irritation (which can be quite entertaining to watch, if witty) and outright bullying. I think several members of the camp have crossed that line, and now display a rather unpleasant gang mentality. I admire Sophie for keeping her composure in the face of some of the abuse.

Anyway, your right about Nancy keeping Vic a secret, but the producers wanted that didn't they? Still it's probably added to her unpopularity in the camp or lack of trust - or whatever. 
It still doesn't justify the treatment of Sophie as stated before.
