At the hands of a maye I suffered a crushing defeat of 23-2 on FiFA yesterday, I didn't have my glasses on, see.

Why is gaming always linked to sad gits that have no life?

I'm not having a go at you, if fact what you say probably has some truth, I wonder how many of those sexless wan cars (GTA San Andreas ) post on here, a poll would be useless as nobody would come clean... no pun intended.

LOL I tip my hat to you. A lesser man would have quit half way through the game

Always amazes me when you're playing some FPS and an entire team of a dozen people are packed into a tiny building with snipers at the windows so you can't get close to them.
Sure, they're gonna win but it can't be much FUN for the majority of the people who spend the entire time packed inside that tiny room.
That is where a RPG is great, or the grenade pistol, or disguise as an enemy player.

You can always out snipe as well

I dont play FPS online but surely everyone has different tactics, so I don't see why people complain about one tactic that doesn't suit their own... surely you would learn to deal with what they are doing what forces them to change their tactic.

I played Warcraft 2 over Kali with one of the best players in the UK back when Warcraft 2 was a hot game. Wish I could remember his name - began with a "C" and we were both on Cix at the time. We agreed a few house-rules - well he agreed a few house rules because he didn't want a "cheap" win. Then two minutes later my starter settlement was a fiery grave. Fun times. It did put me off on-line games a little. I still rarely play on-line.

I did play a lot of Quakeworld back in the day. Held my own there but barely. Back then not every PC gamer used a mouse so there were opportunities for circle-strafing confused students on college computers that didn't even have a mouse attached.

I keep having to swap classes, mainly levelled up with Markman and Tactician with Engineer in the middlw, now levelling the Infiltrator, will do Medic when all Infiltrator weapons are levelled

Getting owned in a game is like a rite of passage for every gamer. Just last night I was on a fantastic twelve win streak on Mortal Kombat 9, probably getting a little too comfortable when out of nowhere I was put in my place, completely destroyed in less than a minute!

Lately on MW3 it just seems that I can't do anything without being killed. I seem to be the magnet for the enemy team, either that or i'm constantly in the wrong place at the wrong time.

BF3 is the only game I have any luck/skill with online, everything else I try from football to racing I usually end up getting crushed.

I used to think I was fairly good at PES6 (xbox 360). I had won a few leagues and such, and then I played online. Arse kicked every game. Couldn't even score goals.

I don't even bother with football games online now. If I ever win a game I know the person on the other end must be even worse than me.

To be fair to you, the spawn system on MW3 means you're never far from an enemy on your six.

Regarding having your arse handed to you, i've never been great at Gears of War but I have really put an effort in to the third installment, despite this I still lose too many gnasher battles!

A really funny idea for a thread!!!!

I think my harshest experience was (as I recall) Medal of Honour 2, wherein you do the Normandy Landings right at the start of the game.

And I just got killed and killed and killed and killed and killed and then killed some more and then for variety, I got killed and killed and killed a bit more.

Experience for yourself the terminal tediousness of dying a thousand times without any idea how to stop it happening.....

Gave up on the game in the end....

Bought MW3, really enjoyed single player, finished that, then fired up MP and my first game was awful, got owned and took it out of the PS3 and sold it the next day.

Better FPSs available on PS3 - try Killzone series or Resistance series.

On KZ3 multiplayer we get lots of CoD noobs and we wipe them out!

I always used to get stuck on the same level of Spyro when I was little. Never did get past it.

Depends. In COD for example if ive only just started playing/learn the maps I will get owned without a doubt.
Then as I get my bearings and get a feel for ther weapon/sight the tables turn and its everyone else that is getting owned
Love a good rivalry with a stupid american too.
