What are you watching?

I thought it would be good to get some discussion going about what everyone is watching at the moment, and thought it would be good to see if there were any trends, similarities etc.

At the moment I have two main "projects" if you will. My ongoing ROH viewing and CZW from its birth.

ROH im up to Final Battle 2004. Just finished the awesome Joe vs Punk triliogy and been treated to some great tag action with Generation Next and Maff & Whitmer in particular putting on solid matches. The Pure title is currently on John Walters who i find extremely boring, although his match with Jimmy Rave at All Star Extravaganza 2 was surprisingly good. Ive also just seen the Weekend of Thunder shows, and the aura (for want of a better word) that Jushin Liger brings just made his two matches so much fun to watch.
So Final Battle 2004 to look forward to tonight, and i know that soon the whole RF c*ck up (literally) is going to happen so im looking forward to seeing how ROH changes in the coming months. Getting a little bit tedious of Samoa Joe's title run if im honest, but i guess that will change soon.

CZW im plowing through 1999 and edging towards Cage of Death. The wrestling overall has been pretty poor, but the odd gem here and there keep me sucked in. Some of the booking is a sham, with people being crowned champion for no reason and entering matches halfway after they have started. Zandig has been having the same Zandig type matches he has 10 years later, but they have a certain charm, and you can clearly tell he is loving life which is also fun to watch. Wifebeater has just won the main title after beating Nick Gage in a decent enough effort, but nothing that special. However the Iron Man Title currently held by Justice Pain is where the best action seems to be. Highlights have been a barbed wire dog collar match between Lobo and Justice Pain and also a barbed wire deathmatch spot fest with Zandig & Lobo vs Gage & Pain. Lobo vs TCK in a Four Corners of Pain deathmatch was also a lot of fun. The best match so far however is a Pyramid of Hell match with Zandig & Gage vs Lobo & Ric Blade. Loads of crazy stuff including one of the most crazy spots ive ever seen where Blade jumps from the top of the building onto Lobo whilst he is lying on a stack of about 6 tables covered in tacks and barbed wire whilst its set on fire. Mental. Oh and as a completely pointless extra we are treated to Lobo suplexing TCK (i think) off of the arena roof on to the top of a van.

Just about to start NWA / WCW from 1983 which will make a nice change from the Indy stuff ive been watching.

So what are you watching?

I've managed to finish the most recent series of a lot of the shows I watch so I am not watching as many at the moment.

True Blood Season 5
Two and a Half Men (half way through season 3)
How I Met Your Mother (half way through season 6)
Modern Family Season 1
Smash Season 1
Grimm Season 1
US Shameless Season 2
Mad Men Season 1
and as of tonight, Supernatural Season 7!

I need to find a hobby

Halfway through season 5 of The Wire. I started watching it after saving the first 10 episodes on Sky. I thought it was great, joined Lovefilm just so i could watch it in my time and as someone who would say The Sopranos was my number one show of all time, i am now thinking there is a serious rival.

Slightly miffed i missed it the first time around but there is something great about finding a brilliant show when it's ended and watching it all in one go.

Also bought a Deadwood boxset and having watched the first 4 episodes and really liking it i will get back too very soon once The Wire is done.

I'm watching Charlie Brookers screenwipe on Youtube at the moment, and I can't get the theme tune out of my head.

That soon? That's good news!

Bound to be a humdinger of a cliffhanger. It wouldn't be Dallas without one.

At the moment, I'm four episodes into Community, which I'm a bit underwhelmed with so far. It's amusing enough, but I was expecting so much more. I have been informed that it gets better though, so I will stick with it.

I've just started season 3 of Friday Night Lights as well. I adore this show, and 'ship Matt and Julie together so much

Oh, and not forgetting Breaking Bad, which at this rate could surpass The Wire as the greatest TV show of all time, in my opinion.

It's very much a live action Family Guy in terms of surreality and 80s/90s pop culture and movie references. It is an acquired taste hence it's cult status and low ratings.

Since I discovered it on Netflix I am watching nothing but Dexter - how this show passed me by for so long I just don't know. It's fab!
