I traded my 3ds in at game. They gave me a free charger. I had a spare one anyway. I love the new console!

I am really enjoying my blue/black 3DS XL that I brought from Play.com.
The bigger screens make such a diffrences and it is much more comfortable to hold a the corners are now rounded a don't dig in to the parlm of your hand like the original 3DS did which had square corners. The larger size also makes the control layout better. With the original 3DS I alway found that when playing on it for an extended periode of time my hand would hurt as the controls were cramped due to it's small size. And when I was doing a system transfer I had both the 3DS XL and 3DS right next to each other and the original 3DS now look like postage stamp size. So I am really liking the 3DS XL. It is a worthwhile upgrade and and I would recommend anyone who is thinking of upgrading to the 3DS XL should do as the larger size and bigger screens make such a diffrence and yes you will notice the diffrence and the improvement that Nintendo have made to the 3DS XL. And people who are thinking of buying a 3DS for the first time should go for the 3DS XL for many of the reasons that I have mentioned above and it dose not cost that much more than the original 3DS. And Nintendo should have included an AC adaptor with the 3DS XL as it is very cheeky of them not to. As I am going to be giving my sister my old aqua blue 3DS I had to buy an AC adaptor as she will need mine old one because here DS Lite AC adaptor will not work with the 3DS. So I tried to buy on in Game on my day of from work. I saw the 3DS size case with the Offical Nintendo AC adaptor on it with the price of £7.99. So I took it up to the till with the hard case and game that I was buying and was told that they had no more AC adapters left in stoc. They only had them available with the 3DS XL. So Brought my other things and went in to HMV and they had Offical Nintendo AC adapters available to buy but they were £12.99 but I had to buy one so I brought one. I did get some great accessories for my 3DS XL which are as followes: Mario and Luigi Hard Case. Normal price £14.99 but when brought with any 3DS chat game £9.99. Game. Hori Card Case 24 £7.99 HMV. Offical Nintendo AC adaptor HMV £12.99, Game have then for £7.99 but were out of Stock. Savvies screen protector Crystal-Clear for Nintendo 3DS XL SPM7800 £3.05 Amazon. 3DS XL Clear Case £5.95 eBay. |

I think i'm right in thinking that Game are giving them away with the 3DSXL when you trade in your 3DS.

I really can't justify getting the 3DS XL besides the fact my 3DS has hardly been touched in 4 months I haven't been overly impressed with the gfx and to have them 'blown up' to the size of the XL screen certainly isn't going to make them look any better.
I really want to love my 3DS but besides the occasional game of zen pinball there's nothing worth coming back to, Nintendo should be concentrating on improving the games library rather than taking the easy option of New!!! Improved!!! Hardware!!! (Con). Does it actually have anything new except for the bigger screen? |

I've seen that, and disregarding the fact the bundle with SM3DL is out of stock, I'm too picky with the console colours when there's a choice. I'd rather have blue or red over silver. I don't suppose if you ask, HMV would allow you to get the 3DS XL + Super Mario 3D Land + Adaptor bundle with a colour of your choice.

I have a creaky old DS Lite (mic no longer works, one of speakers is weak, and hinge is loose) and am thinking of upgrading to a 3DS XL.
Is the 3DS XL worth the extra cost? |
