Thread like this should be left until the end of the games. It's not even halfway thorough yet.

Oh yeah, you just wanted a gold medal for coming first .

To be fair, our athletes, triathletes and pentathletes have been shite so far this games. Not a performance of note from any of them in nearly a week.

Indeed, the only people in these isles that usually sing it are England rugby fans?

Freeview having only 3 Olympic channels. (They have channel 302 sitting idle with just a caption on it mentioning the Games!!)

Having to go online to watch most stuff, when I'd much rather see it on tv.

Gary Lineker as discussed. I don't even think he's great presenting football.

Do you guys have a games comedy show each night - helps relieve the tensions, frustrations, and bitching.
Our Roy & HG, late night games talk show - has been the highlight of many summer and winter games.
During our games they just put shit on everything and it was awesome, athletes were dying to be on it. And they did a famous job on dimwit Paris Hilton who was skanking around.

loving your games, the opening was awesome and fun, and watching the young royals is cute

Freeview can't use 302 until the kids' BBC channels finish at 7pm and free up bandwidth.
I thought that BBC Parliament was being dropped for the games fortnight to provide space but it's still showing programmes as usual?

I've been watching with my mother quite a lot, and during literally every single event she's turned to me and said 'this takes some hard work, you know, not just anybody can do it!', as if I'm completely gormless and unaware that the Olympics take years to train for. She's recently had a knee replacement, so I've been going over to keep her company and she doesn't shut up at all whilst watching. It's far more annoying than anything on the actual television.

And if there wasn't a Royal presence, everybody would be saying they couldn't be bothered. Cut them some slack, buys.

You can't blame them.
They are on benefits, the biggest benefits recipients in the whole of the UK.
