"Are the Public Bored of Me?"
Alrightmate
29-11-2004
Did anyone else catch Natalie saying that to Ant and Dec when they revealed that she had been chosen for another trial?

Does anyone here believe that to be a genuine question, asked in sincerity by Natalie?

Sounds to me like it's just fake self-deprecation used to display an air of modesty about herself.

How can that question of her's have any logic to it?

If someone has been chosen to do the task AGAIN,..then what train of thought would conclude that they think the public are bored of them?
Surely if you have been chosen for a task 5 times, then that would tell you that the viewers are very aware of you, and are entertained by your serial task bungling....and want to see you do more.

She really believes that the viewers are stupid, and will swallow any shit she feeds them.

It looks to me that she confidently believes that the viewers are NOT bored by her, and are actually on her side following her overdone "Poor Nat" dramatics with empathy.
It's like she's gotten so cocky she's even taking the piss out of the viewers now.
She now knows for sure that her dramatic wailings are working now.

Her question about the public getting bored of her, now looks like she thinks the opposite of that, and that she has an inkling that she has definitely got our attention.

I didn't hear her say "Are the Public bored of me?" but did hear her say "Are you not bored of me?". I believe this was directed at Ant and Dec. As was the case on the BT trial shown on the 9pm show, Sunday, when she said the same thing on arrival at the trial.

Then again, I could be wrong.

That is what I heard as well. What I also heard - and which made my laugh like a hyena - is when The Amoebae said to the other Happy Campers something like "should have put money on me". Which indicates that she really thinks she's the winner/has a chance of winning.

I think she said both at different times. However, it was the gleam in her eyes that gave it all away as to how popular this idiot perceives herself. That along with the gleeful laughter.

Oh sure, she's so afraid. Do you act that way when your terrified of the tasks? It's we who should be afraid, very afraid. What the hell are we creating and unleashing onto ourselves by inflating this nonetity's ego to all proportions?

I see IAC is off the air until 6am. Does anybody know if she's back from the trial yet? Hopefully she's walked.

I didn't even see her leave to do the task tonight. I saw her on the feed at the very start of Tara and Mark's show, but not after that. She had to have been gone at least 3-4 hours.

Her phobia must be really really really really very very very very bad today and could take more than double the time.

Ant and Dec will have grey hair by the time she gets over the bridge.

Okay.
No my mistake, I stand corrected.
I must have misheard.
I thought I heard her asking "are they bored of me",..or something like that.

Mind you, you can still apply most of my first post to just about anything else Natalie says.

I agree with what pinkfish said. It will indeed be interesting to see if she remembers to be scared when she leaves the camp on that bridge with fireworks going off.

I notice that when she was doing that task last night, where she had to get in the water,...she didn't seem too concerned about germs...which is supposed to be her main phobia.

"there's still rice in it"

that was the nail on the coffin for me, unless Fran was being a real scumbag to her (which i doubt) no amount of editing could hide that truly bitchy comment, how self centered can she be?! Let her vent her anger when she wants, she's just had a baby for crying out loud.. but Fran, oh no, a man with no sleep and no food, and no baby, the second he complains once, and not even directly at her, then bring out the true Nat to point out the injustice.

She's been well paid for her trauma. She took a place in the 'set' from someone else.

The quote I thought was interesting was when she was told she'd got the fourth trial she said (I think) "I should have prepared a single"..... I'm pretty sure that's what she said anyway (!).
