I've always took lucked out to mean the best scenario, most fortunate so when saying lucked out he was saying it was fortunate that it wasn't Deana and Conor otherwise there would be blood on the walls.

I didn't watch BBBOTS tonight as I could only just manage to get though the main show, but this choice of words makes me feel a bit... UGH. What a horrible thing to say. Yeah, I know, I know, it's just a way of saying they wanted to see drama in there, but man, that's low.

50k it's really all that much or life changing in anyway , not that conman deserves it of course, but at least if he goes tomorrow night we wont have to see his ugly mug on TV anymore ever.

After watching it back....this thread is REALLY out of context.

Transcript
Emma - ''They lucked out with the three that got in there.''

Producer - ''Totally. If there had been other combinations, maybe Conor and Deana, we might have seen blood on the white walls.''

The producer never said they wanted to see Deana and Conor in there to see ''blood on the walls.''

Lucked out means when you avoid a possibly bad situation.

Get your facts right next time.

Even if Deana wins, her winnings are halved, they just keep messing about with it all, idiots.

That's not obvious at all. As you point out, "lucked out" is ambiguous. I don't see why you're insisting on the least charitable interpretation.

Since when was "lucked out" ambiguous?

If you've "lucked out" with something, it means you got lucky.

It doesn't mean "out of luck", which means you were unlucky.

the producers should stay in the background. the show is not about them and they look odd and uncomfortable on tv.

It was still a crass thing to say given what Conor has done.

The producer did say we might have seen blood on the walls yes.
This just tells me that they know how much Connor dislikes Deana.

Have complained to Ofcom about this as it was in extremely bad taste to make this remark about Deana and Conor being in the white room and blood being on the walls . Considering he made remarks about sexual and physical violence to Deana and the girl is in there being left in ignorance it was vile. Do hope Deana and her family take the appropriate action when she eventually finds out. SHAME ON YOU BIG BROTHER.

Are these people insane?? Even Emma Willis said something about not going there, and moved on pretty damn quickly. Was I dreaming or did others hear it??

So having that disgusting creep Conor saying those unforgivable things about Deana, wasnt enough for the idiots running BB, they wanted them in the white room together to see blood.

Obviously Deana's blood. What a shame it didn't work out, they could have given Conor £100,000 then.

I really think massive complaints should be made about this, no wonder the show is absolute shite this year, look at the morons producing it.
Oh quick, call OFCOM!!! Etc, etc...
