The biggest majority of producers (& other staff) moved over to CH5. Katy Smith was particularly vocal about there not being any need to have a live feed!

I think they thought that by updating BB to be more like TOWIE, would gain them a younger more 'cool' audience.
All they have manged to do so far is alienate the audience they 'adopted' from the CH4 days, and made such a piss poor ,unimaginative ,show that is neither a new TOWIE nor an old BB type show,that they have lost all direction and are reduced to fire fighting to correct the messes they regularly create.

But they(ch4) did do just that BB8 , I think, when Eugene took half the prize fund and left, and Anthony won, but was seriously pissed off that half his money was gone.

Really? It seems to me that the more they piss you off the more you all line up to part with your hard earned. The more they use Conor to wind you up, the more you spend on voting for Deana and the Outsiders. The only way you can exercise any influence is to stop voting and stop watching, and I can't see that happening any time soon.

I totally agree with this, I watch TOWIE and I am young but even I know this show is beyond ridiculous.

Many including myself have stated even before the twist we had gotten incredibly bored and pissed off with the show, only sticking this one out because we felt invested in what happened to the outsiders. I have have watched from day one, from the very first ep and when this series ends I will never watch CBB or BB again because of all that has happened so I disagree.

It was BB6.

In BB5 they reduced the prize fund throughout the series. It went from £100,000 to something like £63,000.

Viewing figures have dropped substantially from its heyday, but not for the reasons you suggest. The loss of viewers is primarily due to the overall format no longer being fresh. People have simply grown bored with the concept.

I have watched BB from series one. There have been a lot of changes mainly the vote to save instead of evict ( which i do not like ) and no live feed (which i also do not like). BB is losing viewers because they are not listening to what the public want.

It is as if they are behaving like viewers instead of impatial producers who want to keep their audience happy, and look at the fools we see on BBBOTS, what has finding love for a producer got to do with the show? what possible entertainment value is that supposed to have. You have the girl who wears pop socks up to her knees, the long haired IT guy who should focus on IT not making snide remarks about forums who dare disagree with them, plus his moronic pal, then the task girl who is supposed to be hilarious - not. She is about as funny as some of the pathetic tasks.

The real answer for me lies in the way they fawned over Caroline, championed Becky, protect Luke S and Connor, they want their favourite 'trendy' housemates to win and if the riff raff audience don't go along with it, well they just abuse their power and manipulate it.

Channel 5 bossess need to have a clean out before next year or their investment will go down the pan. BB was once a must see show, a great piece of entertainment and this bunch have made a mockery of it. Whoever thought that giving away half the prize fund was 'cool' is a fool. But they obviously share Caroline's see yer later attitide, trouble is the audience might just say that to them.
