Well, I thought she was over acting and putting it on for votes. Now shes walked it seems she was genuinly scared of those trials and stuff.
Makes the great bullying GB (me included at the time) seem
rather unsavoury now.

A fitting way for her to leave.

Don't be silly - it's just another episode in the continuing drama of the life of Natalie Appleton. Don't be fooled.

well I call picking on the weakest member of a group bullying. and I feel sorry for her now. and I'm glad I feel sorry for her.

I would have felt sorry for her had this been the first series. But as it isn't she must have known exactly what she was letting herself in for.

This is what this show has always threatened to do, and I've honestly enjoyed watching one of the most pathetically deluded women I've ever seen getting the wake up call she deserves.

Whether or not she will even realise it after viewing footage of herself, or just put it all down to the way she was edited, I don't know. My bet would be on the latter.

i didn't vote for her as i was bored by the BTTs.

however, i am surprised she hadn't sussed that people just wanted to feel she had tried her best and conquered something. instead , they were met by someone who tried a little with some sort of token gesture, then gave up.

it's a shame but she really needs to look to see why she was voted for continually. even ant and dec were hinting

Some people are they way they are. She obviously wasnt up to it, and yes, maybe she shouldnt have gone in in the first place, but shes done the right thing now and left, which is probabaly best for her, as her fears do now seem genuine.

i think even the people who thought she was genuinely scared etc.. still voted for her.

on one side leaving is simply because she's had enough she doesn't want to be a national joke anymore, why stay in? for her kid(s)? dont know how old they are, if they're babies, they wont know about it, and when and if they're old enough, i'm sure they get enough crap from other kids for it, or so much time will have passed to care.

according to her, the public made their mind up, there aren't that many fans of hers - really its the first sensible thing she's done by leaving.. would have been terribly sensible if she left on the first night when she mentioned the idea (cue the attention and ego boosting), and well every single day since then.

as Fleur said, sympathy if it was the first series, but otherwise no cookie.

Do not feel sorry for her. She was paid £50k for appearing on this programme. She knew exactly what it was she was going in to. She thought that the public would warm to her weaknesses and would gain the sympathy vote. All the 'celebs' in there are in there for two reasons: a) the big pay packet; and b) the fame they hope it will bring.

Natalie was asked by her family not to go in but she went ahead with the full knowledge of what to expect. Instead of the nation warming to her, she has exposed herself as a spoilt brat, a neurotic and a person who comes across as someone who has undergone too much therapy.

She will go home to her comfortable life, made more comfortable with her £50k, undergo yet more therapy and hopefully that'll be the last we hear from her.

I find the suggestion that the public are bullies for voting for her to be something of a joke....Her constant selfish behavior got her the trials, not the public being malicious

You're right. I'd aleady posted in another thread about the voting public being a bunch of bullies.

Apart from her fear of the trials, perhaps she realised that as long as she stays - and is voted every day, the others will go hungry.

Brian said that he didn't think it was going to be as hard as it is & that there would be people behind the trees handing out pizza!

This female has ruined the whole show. Whether her fear is real or not is not the issue. If she wasn't up to doing the show, she should not have gone there.

The production company are obviously to blame for putting such a weak performer into the camp.

The effort and money put into those tasks, just to have her walk away without even trying. It's a disgrace. It's a disgrace that ITV let it happen too.

If she'd have put half as much effort into the trials as she did into her "histrionics" they'd have been well fed all week.
Natalie was selfish beyong belief and simply because her idea to "boost" her career failed I don't see how you can possibly blame the voting public.

The "woe is me" performance has done her all right so far in life. I'm sure she will continue with it to reasonable effect. She will always convince some people near her she is pathetic and in need of help. Some folk prob get a real boost from 'helping' her. I really don't think we need to worry about her. Fingers crossed all the negative publicity might make her re-examine her "pathetic me" traits and she MIGHT grow up.

Well I do blame the voting public. shows a rather nasty side to the great GB, getting entertainment from someones suffering, personally I call that bullying.
The last trial the girl was obviously half choked in that water, she did try her best, whats she supposed to do, die to satisfy the public?.
Just because someone limits are below what you expect doesnt make them a bad person or deserving of all the c%^p she is getting.

Well said.

All this talk of bullying is laughable. Its an entertainment programme......not a social experiment. Some folk in this thread are even more dense than Natalie.

never asked her to try to humiliate Sophie in front of the whole camp

I cannot believe people cannot still see through Sophie. You can't tell me that her concerns for Natalie were genuine. Her falseness is so transparent. She hated Natalie doing the trials because she wanted all the camera attention herself. A very nasty, manipulative person.

I agree, its just a certain look on her face like she cant really stomach the girl that gives it away.
