In the politics talks, Deana wasn't trying to have an intelligent conversation with Sara.

She was trying to do a Paxman on her and make her look like a fool.

I like both Sara and Deana but Sara looked silly there. I didn't for one second think that Deana was meaning to cause a fuss, make Sara look stupid, or do much of anything other than have a discussion. The worst of it all though was Ashleigh backing up Deana and then going in the kitchen and starting in with the poison all over again. WTF was that about? Then they accuse Deana of having a split personality!

Deana was trying to engage in conversation/debate about a topic that Sara had been talking about for nearly an hour and because Sara was probably talking shite and she was asked about her opinions Sara could not cope or explain and immediately got on the defence and accused Deana or wanting to start an argument.

It seemed from tonight that Deana was attempting to make Sara look stupid but tbh, I agree with her for doing this, She was talking absolute bull shit. She doesn't have a clue about politics really and she isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.

Yes, but that doesn't change what Deana's doing.

Many people quite reasonably don't enjoy being pushed into a 'debate' -- especially not with someone who's trying to make them look like a fool or worse. It wasn't an innocent trying to engage in conversation.

It's also very irritating when Deana claims she's not arguing when she obviously is.

She reminds me a lot of Shievonne. She gets someone irritated and then starts complaining that the person's raising their voice or whatever.

It's not very different from what's often seen here. People often want to express their opinions without having to 'debate' them.

Grrr. Compared to last year's thong-a-thon with Faye and Maisie, this year has been hopeless. A rubbish bunch of housemates who do nothing but bitch, argue and moan, and not even much in the way of gratuitous scantily-clad shots either. Except for Becky. Yeah.

Sara brought up politics, Deana asked a valid question, not to wind her up,they were having a conversation, then got accused of arguing. It is hard to to talk to Sara sometimes, because she takes the most random comments to heart and accuses the person she's talking at, well shouting, (that voice) at, of picking an argument. Ashleigh agreed with Deana and then when Sara went over to Becky, Scott and Ashleigh in the kitchen she made a very slimy, sly comment about Deana trying to make Sara look like a fool, no Ashleigh, Sara felt like a dumbo for getting out of her depthh and took it out on Deana. If Sara had spoken like that to me, flying off the handle for no reason, she would bloody know about it. Why should Deana put up with that instead of ventng to her friends.I thought she stayed remarkably calm. Should she just smile and apologise for Sara's psycho temper? Can Sara ever talk normally?She only seems to be able to shout, I have to adjust the volume whenever she opens her gob.

All Deana asked was "what do you stand for/why did you vote the way you did" which is a simple question for anyone who has ever voted in their life. Sara made herself look dumb by not answering it and acting defensive.

and for Ashleigh to first defend Deana then behind her back tell Sara that Deana was just trying to make her look stupid because secretly Deana knows more about politics was insane.

The only person who made Sara look like a fool was Sara.

Deana was in the right and she didn't bitch about Sara to Adam & Luke A she was pointing out the truth. If Deana doesn't know the facts about something she isn't going to pretend to (which is what most normal people do)

so, sara was talking for an hour about politics, listening to the sound of her own voice. no one challenges her on what nonesense she was spewing for that hour, till deana asked her a valid question, which sara did not expect anyone to do. sara got flustered cause she did not think anyone will question her. maybe no one did in the past either. as deana said you always talking about politics. sara got caught out she knows nothing about politics . it was such a simple question ,but sara was not prepared..sara could have said, well cause of their program for better schools. or for the elderly,or lower taxes. pick anything out of the air lolol but sara refuse to name one thing.lolol

Sara has some sort of issue with Deana and I have no clue why. Maybe she wants to be accepted more by the 'insiders' but she is my second favourite housemate after Deana & appears genuine until she starts to attack Deana. She hasn't really had an issue with any housemate but whether she feels Deana is popular and will command a fair bit of airtime so if she picks arguments with her she will feature more I don't know but she doesn't really do a lot else otherwise but her & Deana do come across as the most genuine.
