I just can't understand why people kept voting for Natalie to do the tasks. It made boring tv! I wanted to see the tasks attempted, at least, in their entirety, surely that's more interesting than watching a moaning spoiled Natalie every night??????
I'm glad she's walked, it's a pity it wasn't the first night.

The self appreciation feeling? I know i felt better thinking i could have easily have done most of those tasks if i put my mind to it.

Who am i kidding? I sooo wouldnt have hahaha

because she was a cretin, maybe if she had owned up to the others that she failed because she didnt want to try, and they hadnt given her so much sympathy, people may have chosen others for the task

I totally agree 100%.
It did make boring tv, i just dont get why the rest of them were so sympathetic towards her, im sure when they get out and realise, they starved because of her sad attempts, they wont be so sympathetic.

Well I didn't vote for her - but probably would have done if I wasn't so scrooge-like about telephone bills.

Anyone who makes a real song & dance about the trials is more likely to get votes - think Fash and focus!!

Her bust up with Sophie displayed major hypocrisy - I appreciate that Sophie is annoying, but natalie was the last person who should have had a go at anyone.

So you've got the person who comes across as the least likeable "celeb" on the show who makes a real fuss about doing the trials - a sure recepie for getting lots of votes.

No real harm can come to the celebs, they are in there for the cash & for the career/ego boost (any talk of doing it for "the challenge" or for charity is total garbage), they know all about how the show works, and they can walk out at anytime they want. I'm A Celeb is a pantomime - and the public voting for one person shows about as much sadistic bullying as booing the pantomime villain.

I agree! How about making a new rule that if you do a trial one day you're exempt from the next day's trial so that everybody gets to have a go? Personally would like to see how some of the other contestants who haven't done a trial yet would fare, rather than watching Natalie flounder the whole time. Obviously, now she's walked out we'll hopefully get the chance to!

Because many, myself included, believed she was far more able than she portrayed herself to be.

By repeatedly selecting her for the tasks the public was effectively saying, "We don't buy your victim act. We're going to keep on choosing you until you drop it, but will be quite happy to see you continue to dig an ever-bigger hole for yourself."

I know what you mean. I thought at the beginning that she was trying it on a bit, possibly thinking 'well, it worked for Kerry McFadden....' The difference was that Kerry pulled herself together and at least attempted to do some of the trials, whereas Natalie just seemed to give up trying.

Because the voting public didn't buy her 'poor me victim' act. They knew that she was not trying & they knew that she had entered the contest purely for the publicity and not because she had any intention of giving the show her best.

In addition, perhaps the voters found it entertaining, deliberately inflicting the hardship of hunger on the other contestants by getting Natalie to let them down again and again.

The sad thing is she thinks it's because she's popular that everyone kept voting - she'll get a realism check when she gets back home

Maybe the producers let it slip a bit to her that she's not too popluar back home. They must have been desperate for her to walk, and encourage her to go in any way they can. She was nightmare TV for them - her non-attempt at the trials and her drawn out whinging.

Because the public wanted to see the whinging stupid bimbo suffer, that's why. Even though she showed no intention of making the smallest effort to do any of the trials. Either that or they wanted the whole camp to suffer because they new she would not get them any meals.

unless it was rigged due to viewings slumping and pple would want to see her react to them.

Exactly. And thinking back to the bug eating trial Kerry and Jordan had - Kerry gave nothing but support, praise and encouragement to Jordan. Rather than smirking at her discomfort, and playing a surprisingly efficient game of cards through her "phobias".

A good idea - you should try & pass it on to the producers.

because she is such a classic example of the worst type of contemporary human..... and in real life we usually don't get a chance to inflict such satisfying revenge on them.

I agree that it made for boring tv after a while. After what she went through with her second trial i thought that was enough and i knew that she was never going to be any kind of queen of the jungle.

I voted for her initially because I felt she was a bigger bitch than Sophie, then it went to her head and she took it as people liking her, so I thought "teach the biatch a lesson...vote her for the next trial" and I was absolutely infuriated by the fact that she didn't help Sophie during their task, also everyone in the camp was being quite hypocritical and sympathetic toward her and I felt it would be funny in a very (very) sadistic way to see how long they would go on kissing her bum despite the fact that she hardly gets them any stars/meals...the words "An hungry man is an angry man" springs to mind.

??????????????????”

this is what I suggested on a thread I started - the pattern was too familiar and the calls cost 50p each Hungry people would soon get ratty and turn but canny JSP was hoarding food so it wasn't going to happen

you cannot hoard food you haven't won! the invertebrate appleton must have been tipped off by the show producers as she disappeared so quickly after looking so smug when voted for again. everything about her rings hollow and i for one (who have never voted before) voted 4 times for her yesterday. like that bounder burrell, she craves celebrity status for its own sake and will now hopefully pay the price of eternal purgatory (in her case anonymity). the odious, obsequious and downright disloyal burrell will go next, probably in a black bag if current whispers are to be believed...

I wouldn't believe that sort of rumour if I were you - our Royal Family really isn't in the habit any more of bumping off its enemies! There have been far worse "betrayals" of royals than Mr Burrell's Secret Storage Loft and his fawning book of flattering memoirs.

I think I'd rather have him on my team than a number of the other self-absorbed losers out there - at least he has a sense of fair play, a sense of humour and a team spirit!

Hear hear Pushka.Burrell seems like a pleasant chap to me and I was expecting to dislike him.His double act with Joe has made me laugh .

I totally agree that it was ridiculously boring when people kept voting for her to do the trials. Whether people thought she was capable of doing more or not, surely even the people who voted for the trials got bored!?
