DECT - Philips Kala/BT Synergy compatibility?
I have a Philips Kala 300 Vox phone and a BT Synergy 3005 additional handset which I am trying to use together.
I have successfully registered the BT additional handset to the Philips base station but there are 2 problems... 1) The red "in use" light on the BT phone is on all the time regardless of whether it is in use or on standby. 2) The Philips phone displays Caller ID, but the BT phone doesn't. Does anyone know of any incompatibilty issues with these 2 phones? |

I've always had issues when it comes to DECT phones from different manufacturers, even though they say the handsets/base units are GAP compatible!
We have a couple of BT diverse handsets and base unit and ntl d-series handsets and basu unit and can marry up one phone to the other base unit quite happily. The actual dialling and speaking bit is fine, but when it comes to stuff like the answer phone, handset number on the screen, etc. it all falls apart. If it works, don't worry about it too much, but i suppose a constantly lit in use light would be annoying! Beavis |
