Jordan: Get Andre and I back in there!

I’M A Celebrity is dying on its jungle feet! Most of this bunch of contestants have turned out to be boring and viewers are now starting to switch off.

The show started last week on a high of 9.7million viewers. The number of people who tune in now is down to just over 7million. So what’s going wrong? Here jungle veterans Jordan and Peter Andre give their view.

JORDAN says:

The best thing ITV could do to liven up the camp is get me and Pete back in there to do a Bushtucker Trial!

I think, for the first time, a lot of the people in the camp have forgotten to leave their egos on the doorstep — they seem too conscious of how they’re being portrayed and what they’re saying.

Self conscious ... Janet - Janet doesn’t even bother to hide that — she’s constantly saying, ‘I can’t tell you now, you have to be careful what you say in here’.

It takes the fun out of the show, they’re not being good sports. That shows in the Bushtucker Trials as well. ITV must have been gutted at the live airtime they wasted on Natalie’s trial.
She has been the most selfish, spoiled, self-obsessed person ever to be in that camp — she totally forgot it was a game, that she was being paid to take part and that part of that game was to entertain by giving it your best shot for the team. I think she turned viewers off boring everyone.

PETER says:

There’s no chemistry in the camp, and the biggest turn off in the show’s history was Natalie Appleton.

The show, for me, went downhill after her live Bushtucker Trial. Her dreadful attitude was the worst ham acting I’ve ever witnessed. All I wanted was for Ant and Dec to push her into one of those tanks and close the lid.

She was ruining the show because she wasn't a team player and believed it was all about her. I wanted to turn off the TV every time she came on. The only person who has tried to play the game is Sophie Anderton, she’s gone right up in my estimation.

The lack of food — the worst since the show began — has put them all on the point of starvation, so they have no energy to do anything. A pizza and a few bottles of wine would give an immediate injection of good spirits.

Wet blanket ... Vic Reeves - Bringing Vic Reeves in was a mistake. He has proved a wet blanket rather than the big, colourful character expected.

The bragging butler - CREEPY Burrell walked a tightrope and boasted to Nancy: “Oh Nance, I’m doing this for you.”

BRIAN Harvey ate burgers and bonked girlfriend Emma B for 48 hours after he quit the jungle. The singer said: “It’s made everything better.”

Grammatically, it should be "Get Andre and me back in there."

I think after the success of last years show they had a lot to live up to this year. IMO the celebs were more likeable last year - this year I don't really like anyone in there and must admit that I have switched off now and just catch up via Digital Spy and the newspapers.

I think the combination of Lord Brockett, Jenny Bond, Jordan, Peter, Kerry and John Lydon was fab and don't see how they could better it!

I would have liked to see Brian last a bit longer but I was getting tired of Natalie's scared little girl act. I think they need to get the rest of the group stirred up a bit and have some multi-celeb bushtucker trials to get them bonding. Maybe Janet, Huggy, Fran and Vic would make a good combo for a trial?

There's a whole lot of sense in that article.

Mmmmm

Not sure Jordan was much of an asset to the show - other than showing just how ruthless her ambition was.

I didn't spot any chemistry between Peter and Jordan whilst they were in the camp - that only came about when she discovered the publicity opportunities when the show finished.

Peter Andre was very entertaining - but we were laughing at him and his delusions of musical talent.

The 1st week will have boring people - just like Mike Reid, Razor Ruddock and Dianne Modahl.

10 million viewers is not dying on its feet.

Lots of people voted for Natalie again & again - presumably they enjoyed watching her neuroses in full effect.

Its still too early to judge the show - it only really gets going once the evictions start, but in the meantime the bust-ups & walk-outs this time have kept things going along just about OK.

Maybe its just that I refuse to agree with any arguments made by that worst of all celebrity couples - the grasping pneumatic tart and the dimwitted talentless muso.

I totally agree with you there. I can't stand them on tv thinking they know it all, when they don't have any braincells between them.

Last years show was better, but to be fair it would have been hard to beat. IMO the best IACGMOH ever was series 3.

I think it always was gonna be classed boring after the last one. When we saw the list of celbs it was"oh well its gonna be boring". I am sure it will get back on track next year.

I do feel sorry for them as they dont know its not popular.
Shame but you have to blame the public for voting that awfull Appleton woman to do the trials. The second week might be 100% better now shes gone.

I hoe so anyway as I was ready to turn t off till I heard she had gone Yipeee............

I don't agree. Prove it.

I am not worried about being accused of grammatical ignorance.

The way you test whether it should be me or I is to get rid of the other person - in this case Andre, i.e.

Get I back in there

or

Get me back in there

me is definitely the right one here.

Forget putting Jordan back in...give me Nell McAndrew any day, very quiet as I remember but very pleasing on the eye.

Put Jordan and Peter back in by all means but just to do the trials. I couldnt watch them hanging around each other all the time.

Charming. Thanks ever so much.

You are quite wrong, nevertheless.

It only proves that all you need is one bad apple to spoil the cart.

Had the trials being reasonably and convincingly attempted by a reasonable and willing contestant, we would not be in this appalling situation where an anorexic wimp is playing Mummy-come-get-me and ruining a potentially great show, as it was with Jordan and co.

They should send all the contestents home and give the show to Ant and Dec. They're more entertaining than any bushtucker trial.
