Conor made the show for Deana

For me, Deana's success so far has mostly been due to the conflict with Conor. It has been the basis of a lot of the arguments in the house, the alliances, and has brought her into the fore of a lot of the highlights shows when, to me, without it she would have left long ago.

I feel Deana would have faded into the background without the Conor situation, but due to this conflict she has become more confident, vocal, unafraid to voice her opinions. Had the situation not arisen, I feel she'd have faded into the background and probably not still be there now.

Also, without this conflict, I do feel she might not have quite as many supporters as she does now, as she'd not be the HM she is now without the experience of Conor.

Your thoughts?

Who cares, I just hope the nicest folks are in the final, and Asheigh and Sara get binned on the next eviction.

Deana actually made the show for Conor. He was got less airtime than Sara until his outburst and after that he just became a nasty presence in the background.

Apart from his vile outburst and him taking the money last night I can't remember a single thing he's done in the house. I can remember plenty about Deana though.

Let's be honest, Conor was a boring HM.

I do agree, up to a point.......Conor was in the background keeping his head under the parapet until the rant, and then he crawled back down there........and managed to get 50 thousand for his time in the house....... I do think Deana would have gone earlier because in the beginning she too kept a low profile, and only came to the fore after the insiders ganged up on her......

We saw Deana as another victim and we do not like bullies........so it turned into the Deana/Conor show which spoiled it for me.........why on earth didn't BB just leave the HMs to get to know each other and form bonds and friendships before throwing the spanner in the works.......

They were good for each other. I think even now other than the titanic trio (soldiers) only Scott has seen how Conor has used the lot of them.

The irony is the two main protagonists could claim £50k each

If Conor wasnt constantly moaning about Deana you would have forgotten about him.

lol that's another way of looking at it, although I said Conor made it because he started the conflict in effect.

Apart from not liking him, I do recall a lot of times where he made me laugh against my will, I'm sad to say Deana hasn't done that for me.

That doesn't mean I'm not glad he's gone, I am, and it will be an interesting house now that the dynamics have changed so much - looking forward to seeing whether Luke S going to lose his cool again as he's been more interesting over the last 24 hours than ever before

I have to agree with you. I do think Deana would have gone early if not for the 'Conor situation'. He was the main instigator but others jumped on the bandwagon and to us it looked a lot like she was being bullied and isolated through no fault of her own. A lot of us hate that, I know I do, and voted for her purely to see justice done. I'm not a Deana fan as such, but I did vote for her when she was up against him which I would not have done if not for his treatment of her.

I can't recall anything that wasn't directly or indirectly related to her conflict with Conor.

It's not only Conor who has been dreadful to Deana though. In fact he has sort of faded into obscurity again the past few weeks and it's been mainly Becky, Scott, Ashleigh who have done all the bitching about her (on the highlights).

Anyway, I believe she is popular in her own right now and not just solely down to the constant adversity she's had to face. She has emerged as a genuinely fascinating character who provides lots of moments not to mention she has shown herself to be a lovely person.

So which eviction would Deana have gone in?

It's hard to be sure what Deana would have been like if Conor hadn't been in the house. Perhaps she'd have tried to fly below the radar to the final; perhaps she'd have been livelier and more fun. Maybe something else.

On the other hand, it's clear that in the actual bb13, rather than hypothetical, Conor-free, alternatives, Conor's animosity has been a large factor in Deana's popularity. It's important to remember that it began well before the horrible rant that got Conor warned and was already helping Deana before then.

By week 3, Deana was 1st in this forum's favourite HM poll, but only by a small amount and with a smaller percentage (13) than Shievonne had when she was the favourite in week 2 (20). It wasn't until later, and with more help from Conor, that she pulled well clear of the others.

The main reason she's become more confident, vocal, etc towards the end is that she's trying hard to win. She needs to make sure she doesn't seem a "background" HM and to eliminate her strongest competition (hence the way she's gone after Sara).

I think you're talking out of your elbow. She has supporters because people like her. She has carried herself with dignity in that house, which must have been hard considering the ***** that they put in there.

I disagree, the more we saw of Deana the more she was liked.

Exactly.

To think he got 50K for the privilege of being a bully and just a bloke who stuck his tongue out is beyond belief.

Outsiders to win !

Yeah, people say Conor made Deana blablabla. But that's what makes some of the winners! Their journey in the house!

Also, it was the whole house hating on Deana lol minus the outsiders.

True, without Deana he would have had no storylines at all. Conor only stayed in because HMs like Caroline and Shievonne chose to be particularly annoying on the last 2 times he was up.

deana got shot down when she had to nom 3 people on the first night. by doing that the others looked at her weird. she did not even get to be herself before some was making up lies about her. lydia started it and it moved on to the others .. if deana was friendly to anyone, some screamed she is fake and sly ,don't trust her, all cause she nomed 3 people on the first night of bb.

The proof of the pudding will be how she comes across in the next 9 days I suppose.

I think a lot are talking out of something,...she had run ins with Arron, bitching from Lydia, crowd seeming to say 'deana out' which had housemates gunning for her, false friends (becki),..fake friends (sara) ,funny online clips, first night noms, fake relationships to call out,..Shiv waving wild hands at her..

without mentioning Conner,..which no matter how he (or any other buly figure) was with her,she had to react...and its her reaction I liked..

connor saying deana was prancing around like she was better then them..but yet fail to mention sara walking around with her bikini up her bum.

Conor ruined Deana's time in the house. It must have been murderous to live with the unrelenting hostility of both Arron and Conor.
She has shown how funny and clever she can be - we'd have had a lot more of that if Conor hadn't been there.
