Still buzzing about LukeA's win, I couldn't sleep last night - bet he couldn't either.
He's definitely the best winner BB has produced.
And wasn't it nice to hear wall to wall cheers from the crowd for this lovely man?
Everyone had huge grins on their faces and after some rather depressing things going on in the house it was so nice that the show ended on such a high with a caring kind and funny person walking out the very worthy winner.

Hi All, and welcome to this wonderful thread, Munkety Tunkety/Jonty. Couldn't agree more with your comments. Luke A truly is a very well deserved winner. And to have Adam and Deana finish second and third was, for me, the icing on the cake. Hope they all stay friends forever.

I've watched every BB since Anthony won (apart from Josie's year which I got bored with) and each year I've supported the winner; it's either been my out and out favourite or one of the two people I wanted to win and couldn't choose.
This is the first year I've been staggered by who won because I really didn't expect it. Each time a place was called for the last five I expected Luke to go, a bit less so with 4th and 5th because I thought they would go to Luke S and Sara but even then I thought the Insiders' support might gather behind one of them and push them up the ranking. It's interesting you talk about the symmetry with Nadia. It's heartening to live in a country and a day-and-age where people's differences are seen as not being a big issue. Neither of them won due to being transsexual, it was down to their other merits. In fact Nadia and Luke have absolutely nothing else in common. She wanted to be accepted by having no-one guess her status. Luke wanted to be accepted by being totally open about it. Nadia won the "evil" BB5 by ramping up the dramatics in a humorous way. Luke won BB13 by clinging onto his morals whilst all around him were losing theirs.
Any detractors who think Luke won purely by being trans is totally missing the point and patronising those of us who very quickly put his status behind him and grew to love all his other qualities.

I agree, anyone who uses this as an excuse to undermine his sucess obviously has sour grapes because their favourite didn't won. It reflects very badly on them and makes them look like sore losers.

His lovely character certainly stood out against that of others' in the house. It's really good to realise that the qualities of kindness and genuiness are actually appreciated still.

I cannot stay long as I have to visit an elderly relative with dementia. I am still so happy and it is nice to see all the comments on here from supporters of Adam and Deana.
I hope WD gets a chance to watch the final and to see the comments on here - she will be so happy too.
