I've said this a hundred times but I miss seeing Luke A in the house with Deana and Adam etc I miss the outsiders
...it's so weird not seeing them anymore but I wish him and his wife the best for the future!![]() (Someone really does need to tell Luke to stop trying to be so absurdly nice to everyone on twitter btw; no one can maintain that kind of personal attention to over 13,000 followers. The first rule of suddenly acquiring a big twitter following is surely to master the art of politely ignoring all the requests for a tweet. I have seen ex housemates simply walk away from facebook/ twitter when they can no longer cope with all the requests.). Quote:
Hi Fizzii, welcome to the AT. Luke's FB group is https://www.facebook.com/groups/176246362507927/ and very lovely it is too. You can get to know his family on there and even The Man Himself pops in when time allows.
![]() I actually took a screenshot, then thought, what exactly am I going to do with it? So I deleted it again, but filed it in my memory under 'pleased'. Quote:
Those photoshoot pictures are pretty hot, eh? I think it might be for an article in New magazine, which I've seen mentioned.
Yay! Probably the only time in the history of the world I shall wait keenly for New magazine to come out. Let's hope they don't even MENTION Becky's sodding BMI. Quote:
Thanks for the well-wishes. I think it's best I don't talk about it openly on here but things are really bad right now and I don't know how I'm going to get out of this pickle I've got myself in. Oh well, I'll just have to muddle through somehow. I know this is a ridiculous thing to post really, but if there is anything at all that a total stranger could help with ...In the meantime, .I don't suppose a picture of a baby that looks like John prescott will help at all?

Val, I hope everything works itself out ok (((hugs)))
There is always the PM system if you want to confide to a random stranger, often sharing reduces the problem and gives you an anonymous perspective on things. My world came down with a bang the day after the final with the funeral of a dear friend who lost her battle with cancer ![]() Just when I thought all the bad stuff was over this year (it really has been awful) I discovered another friend has to have surgery for a brain aneurysm Although last night I felt all doom and gloom, today I feel glad that they have found it before it burst and was game over, and it's operable.

Bit late to the party I know, but did vote consistently for him during the series ![]() Also- just wanted to wish people well in general - seems that people are going through a lot of difficult times at the moment (hugs). |

A bit late, due to it being school hols and such, just wanted to post a very very big CONGRATULATIONS to Luke A on his wonderful and well-deserved win on Monday
Also want to say thanks to all of his supporters here for being modest, temperate and fair-minded (for the most part ) over the last weeks over on the MF. I shall look forward to dipping in here to see how he's getting on in the next weeks and months, I really hope he keeps in touch on twitter to let us all know how he's going with his life, in just a small way

Stacey Wakefield@staceywakefield @LukeA_BB well nice goin through Mynydd Isa and seein 'Vote Luke A' on posters then seein 'WINNER' on the top #bringingpeopletogether #proud Must be nice for him to see when he got home.Unexciting article in the Pink Paper: http://news.pinkpaper.com/NewsStory/...ther-2012.aspx Still, always nice to see a bit of positive press. I THINK the hottest housemate poll - http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1718447 - is still open for men; it is already closed for women. Damn. The all time housemates poll, which is not just about 'hotness' is open until 2nd September : http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1704132 And...can't remember if facebook things will link onto here, but if it does...http://www.facebook.com/groups/17624...type=1&theater which is supposed to be an interview with the Flintshire Chronicle, mostly stuff we know, but Luke says he used to work on cruise ships, which is quite interesting. Now I really must go back to work......................... |

It is very odd not watching CBB and seeing all the new threads. I'm not gonna though. Apart from anything else, Samantha Brick might make me burst a blood vessel.
I missed it last night - I was at a friend's son's 18th and got to bed at 2am and on a school night too. ![]() Just had a quick recce. As a former housemate might say "Who ARE they?"

Update for you lovely guys. My grandson got 2 A stars in maths and further maths and an A in physics. He only got a 3 in his STEP papers so Cambridge has rejected him - he needed a 2. But Warwick have accepted him and I am over the moon. He did so well in 3 hard subjects. Woo hoo

When my first daughter had an 18th birthday I bought crates and crates of disgusting drinks like wkd and - I dunno, anything bright blue or bright pink - and the little buggers refused to touch a drop and kept on asking for pepsi all night. And it was meant to be a wild west party so there were bales of straw everywhere, but half of them seemed to have misunderstood the fancy dress bit and come dressed as Margaret Thatcher in sensible skirts. What is WRONG with young people today? |

I've never heard of anyone on CBB any year because I hardly watch tv and don't read celeb magazines. (Obviously I have heard of Samantha Brick since I have commented on here, and I have heard of Julian Clary but apart from that I have no idea who any of them are). When Germaine Greer did CBB I was delighted that at last they had a guest whose work I actually knew.

Congratulations on your grandson's results- I hope his arms aren't giving him too much grief
Shame about Cambridge, but Warwick is a beautiful place ![]() His arms aren't too bad. He has taken the sling off one so he is able to manage a bit better but the other one is still extremely painful and swollen. |

I'm so sorry your friends are having tough times and wish them all the best.

Hi All,
Just popped in for a quick catch up. Can't believe it's all over: I know it's the way BB works but it always seems grossly unfair to me that those who get evicted early on in the show get so much TV coverage and the favourites get so little. IMO the top 3, at the very least, should have a complete BOTS devoted entirely to them. Sorry to hear about your troubles, ValW. Hope things pick up for you soon. And well done to your grandson, jeanoj. I did Physics and Maths A'levels myself, once upon a time, so I can vouch for how tough they are. As for CBB, I know Martin, Julie, Cheryl, Julian, Colleen and Harvey so I guess I'm doing quite well. I'm looking forward to seeing how things pan out, but it won't be the same as watching Luke and Adam.

I'm having withdrawal symptoms too. I would have much rather had a couple more weeks of BB and no CBB.

Luke S had one of the worst ones I have seen, and none of them seemed to get more than about 3 minutes. Still, this is a bad start to my resolution of never grumbling again if Luke won. I think I'll just have a last sneaky look at that final 15 minutes of BB13..... |

Well done to him.
I have no idea what a step paper is but the a level marks are brilliant. Yes, I wish. Or once upon a time we used to get a programme showing the winner's first week out of the house, which would be brilliant as well. (It kind of fizzled out over the years; in BB8 I can remember getting a 'what the housemates did next' programme which was mostly about Shabnam, so I don't miss that.). Maybe Aaron and Jay scuppered any prospect of Ch 5 attention by both completely falling out with Ch 5 last year, but really I think it is just a shame that CBB came straight after BB so even before the finalists' footprints had dried on the steps they were just focusing on their shiny new series. The final night interviews are awful though. Luke S had one of the worst ones I have seen, and none of them seemed to get more than about 3 minutes. Still, this is a bad start to my resolution of never grumbling again if Luke won. I think I'll just have a last sneaky look at that final 15 minutes of BB13..... Quote:

Did they do a winner's story type program last year? I hope the do one this year with Luke. This series seems to have ended too soon and I have no interest in CBB.
There was something called OK TV after last year's BB which had both couples on (not on the same night I think) but this year they just seem to have chucked BB aside and rushed into CBB. From what I heard, OK TV was crap anyway, so perhaps it doesn't matter. I wish actually Luke would do a question and answer session like some housemates have done online - twitter is a bit crap with so few words allowed. I have actual questions I would love to be able to put to him that have nothing to do with Becky's BMI or Luke S's chest. And he should put the blue stripy top on ebay. It is practically a legend in its own lifetime. |
