I am sure they make a very striking pair. I have met a few housemates and can confirm that Shabby and Carole are small - at least Carole is small in height, not sideways - and Eugene and Gerry were quite tall. I once asked Gerry for directions to Barbican station and he sent me in the opposite direction. Ah, my glamorous, celeb filled life.

Just been re-watching some of BB (I don't feel so bad about watching it now I know there was a happy ending) and I've just seen Benedict's eviction, I see he wanted Luke to win - yep,yep, yep, suddenly I LIKE Benedict . I notice he didn't like Luke S too much either but he never got slaughtered for it and told he was jealous ...

Also noticed Caroline (who I knew was horrible) say she wished Lauren would swallow her tongue and just go to sleep - I missed that one at the time - even for Caroline

Me too, what lovely thought. Along with the way they interact with the group and poor Luke follows and responds to so many people on twitter, it shows what genuinely nice and caring people Luke and Becki are.

I have seen Carole a few times - she lives near me. I actually sat next to her on the underground once and she got off at the same stop as me so we walked a little way together.

We are going to be like poor orphans when they go to Cuba. Seriously, I can't remember any other BB person taking so much trouble to get close to fans. Obviously until a few years ago there was no social media to get close with, but he really does go the extra mile.

I was a bit embarrassed when I found myself in conversation with Carole because I had not been gentle with her on the forum, and I had this completely irrational feeling that she knew...although I was not actually wearing a wonkeydonkey suit at the time. She was with Eugene (who was of course in BB two years earlier), so I said, "Oh, I didn't know you knew Eugene?" (which was a bit dopey, because of course I didn't know anything about her at all, but you say anything to fill up a silence sometimes) and she said, "Oh, everyone knows Eugene." As I was at Jonty's Museum of London beano at the time, it felt as if there must be some kind of BB Jewish freemasonry, by which they all met up and, hmmm I dunno, ate meatballs. Eugene was very sweet and friendly btw and Jonty was adorable.

I felt the same about Carole too but loved Jonty and Gerry - would love to meet them.

Keep off Twitter - war going on at the moment with Luke because he had tweeted to Celebrity Juice to complain about them using the word tranny. #needarmouronthere LOL

Twitter stuff STILL going on this morning. It was nice to see Tom O' Connell immediately jump in with words of wisdom - I thought he came over really well.

I just want to sleeeeeep. There is an endless game of skyrim going on in our sitting room so I wrapped myself in a blanket and sat in the garden, and our neighbours started an apparently endless drilling project. If I decline much more I will have to go to bed, but I hate doing that in the daytime.

I do sympathize with Becki's suggestion that if he so much as touches a phone while they are away she will throw it into the sea.

It's very endearing how his family get involved; did you notice that when someone had a car accident today, Luke's mother was straight on asking if they were ok?

Oh, absolutely, I totally understand Becki. She's tremendously patient with everyone - a lot more than I would be in her situation. Luke is obviously one of life's great communicators - he'd be fabulous interacting with the public on a TV programme because he's a natural.

Woe, closest ever to an actual argument on the LAA page, and it really isn't the place. But I almost never stay angry with housemates after BB is over unless they keep doing new things. I could write a perfectly good defence of Becky, Caroline or Conor and mean every word, though obviously not there, where it would only upset everyone. Sigh. I don't think people really understand how hard everything must have been to someone like Luke S by the end, with nothing at all going his way. I'm glad that he sounds as if he is having a good time on twitter - I want everyone to have a good life after BB as long as it does not involve trampling on other people. Maybe it is my age - they all seem young to me; Caroline and Becky were considerably younger than my children.

I've been watching the series over again and, to be honest, all the housemates (apart from Conor who I think is really aggressive and unpleasant when things don't go his way) have some redeeming qualities. Luke S is the most frustrating one though because, unlike the others who were evicted, he had his chance to admit the error of his ways and didn't take it. He's not a bad person - just needs to grow up a bit, learn a bit of humility and have a few rough edges knocked off him. I think a lot of the frustration and anger towards him comes from the fact that other people criticised our Luke for the rivalry between them when the other Luke was as much to blame - wanting to be first into everything and taking over in the kitchen/shopping list etc, not to mention being big-headed and hard to live with.

I'd probably never admit it in the LA Army group but I didn't think Becky was that bad - just had her head turned by the 'cool kids' and her sister probably lost sight of reality in the excitement of thinking Becky could win by showing up Luke hence retweeting unpleasant remarks and repeating the BMI comment.

I think Becky did behave badly, but wonder if her self-esteem was really not very high; remember she wept buckets at having to wear trousers, which didn't sound like someone proud of her body shape. She fell fatally in love with the idea of being accepted by the 'popular crowd'. I felt a bit sorry for her during her eviction when she babbled away, hardly making any sense at all.

And Caroline was a brighter, more dangerous version of the same thing: someone whose personal confidence was low and who had developed a persona (in her case, self-mocking comedy) to protect herself. Only she really needs to learn not to inflict actual pain on other people as a way of getting a laugh. I was struck when Luke said that Lauren's life had been made hell by Caroline, because it made me think that there was stuff we didn't see. I mean, of course there was stuff we didn't see but I mean incidents where Caroline picked on Lauren.

Me too. I never got that impression from the highlights either although Lauren was a bit isolated from the other girls I can't specifically remember Caroline being horrible to her more than she was to anyone else.

In fact, the conversation on the LA Army page about Luke S highlights one of the problems of no live feed. At least with live feed you build up a more balanced picture of someone than just a few chosen moments in a day. We all hate things being omitted from the highlights when it's our favourite housemate, for example I remember having a discussion on here where someone was determined that Luke was virtually a second rate work canteen cook and I knew he'd won awards as a chef but you never got that impression from the main show, it was something I'd learned because I liked him and wanted to know more about him. However, the same thing applies to housemates you're not so keen on. I saw enough of Luke S to know that he was basically a nice enough human being (if a bit smug) and I'm sure that a 24 hour live feed would have shown a lot of kind things he did for other housemates to build up a fuller picture of his character but unfortunately those running BB think that being nice and kind or even funny is not at all interesting, only bitching, back stabbing, lying and doing tasks. It's sad really and probably goes some way to explaining the boos for many housemates these days because people see them as one-dimensional characters not real people - good, bad and indifferent at times under the pressures of day-to-day life.

Luke also said that she was really horrible to Sara, which I don't remember seeing in the highlights shows. I think there is some credence in your theory that she trying to show off to Conor, she hasn't appeared to be that bad since she left the house and I noticed that Becky was defending Luke on twitter when somebody accused him of bullying her, perhaps she has realised the error of her ways.
